URGENT FOSTER NEEDED!

Our animal services officers have been trying to catch these cuties for a few weeks with no luck. Because of the frigid weather they finally decided to huddle up in a trap that was set for them in hopes to find warmth. These babies haven't experienced human touch and are very scared. We know they will shut down if we send them to a room with dozens of other animals. We will get them vaccinated and dewormed and schedule them for a date to receive vetting. Right now, they need a safe place to learn that humans can be wonderful! Apply to foster at Montgomeryhumane.com and if you are already approved, just drop in to scoop one of these precious souls up! Hi there my name is Carmen and I need a little bit of help! You see I was brought in with all of my brothers and sisters by a kind stranger who found us running loose in a neighborhood. She loaded us up and brought us to the shelter so we would be safe waiting for our family. No one ever came and now we are all up for adoption. I am a terrier mix. I have all of my vaccinations for my age, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. I am still a young puppy and I will take up lots of your time and patience! Hello, my name is Hazel! I am a cute little girl that is in need of a new home. I am kind of surprised, that at my age, I lost my home. My family was moving and I couldn’t go with them. Well I have decided to put my best paw forward and find me another great home. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. One small problem did show up on my health check up. I am heartworm positive. I am not worried though, because the shelter already has me set up for treatment! I just hope that some one will want to add me to their family. Oh one thing you need to know about me! I would do best in a home as the only dog. Hi there! Ingrid here! I guess I am back where I started! Well that’s not so bad! Everyone here is super nice! I originally came to the shelter as a stray! A nice deputy picked me up and brought me to the safety of the shelter. I waited my allotted time and I was eventually adopted! YAY! Well I was with my family a short time and then they ran into some landlord issues! Well you know what that means! The dog has to go! So I am back on the search again for the perfect home! I am an “almost” one- year-old retriever mix. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. I hope you will want to meet me! I am sweet, cute, and just the right size for anybody!!

We want to give all of you that are helping us get ready for the plunging temperatures a heartfelt THANK YOU! We have had kind individuals step up to foster and others bring in much needed donations! We haven’t reached the coldest temps yet but starting Monday night homeless companion animals will need the additional level of protection that you are all providing! As we can ensure the dogs and cats within our walls are safe and warm, we will reach out to MONTGOMERY’s less fortunate and offer their animals supplies as well. Our Humane Officers have already made contact with several families that they know have a need.

Again, thank you. Everyday we can push a little harder to do more. It’s all thanks to you!
