The Piatt County Animal Shelter is no-kill shelter, operating on donations from the public to help educate the public about animal welfare issues and find homes for animals in need. We promote spay/neutering, vaccinating, and microchipping in our adoption and education programs. Foster families and volunteers help prepare animals for a new forever family and are vital in assessing an animals' personality for the perfect fit into the right home.

Meet one of our adoptable kittens available through PCAS, Harvey!🐾 This morning, we had a sweet client drop off a bunch of toys for our kitties! They appreciate it so much! Harvey and all of the other kitties say, “thank you!” If you are interested in Harvey or any of our other furry friends, you can fill out an adoption form on our website or contact us!

We would like to thank everyone who helped make our annual Rummage Sale and Krispy Kreme Doughnut sale a success — those who donated items to the sale, those who purchased donuts, and those who made a donation. After expenses, we made $2,568.00. This money will help with animal care and help us reach our goal of building a new shelter.

A special thanks to Susan A, who drove to Bloomington and brought back our preorder of 176 dozen doughnuts. Thank you to Daro Coffee Company for joining our event. Also, a special thanks to the volunteers who help set up the sale – Becky H, Kim P, Natalie C, Lauren, Janae, Jill, and to the ladies who worked the sale and helped clean up – Wendy, Carmen, Lauren, Mary A and her football players. And to Pete for helping sort the doughnuts.

PLEASE HELP US:
These two cats were left inside Illini Overhead Doors break room sometime Tuesday night.
They are 13 years old and we need some background info to know why they were left, and if they have any medical issues, other then being overweight. It will help us determine how to best care for them.
