A married couple with a passion for keeping some of the less common geckos. The page was created because we wanted to share our collection without people having to look through non-reptile related posts, political views, etc. It was also created so that we could see what non-reptile friends were doing without 20 group pictures of leopard gecko "junk" close-ups. The name was created because we star
ted thinking about the mentality we, and the hobbyists we enjoy the most seem to share. It can only be described as "old school". A mentality that there are better ways than a simple care sheet to designing a setup, keeping a critter, or breeding. These people, who subscribe to the old school way of learning the habitats, trying complex processes and inventing new concepts on the hobby. These are the artificers of the hobby. Without them, so much info would be lost because one successful person made a care sheet that everyone followed blindly (as so many people already do.) Thank you to the "artificers" out there for all your help and willingness to share information! This is not a business site. We definitely breed as part of our hobby, and we have critters available from time to time. But this is a PERSONAL hobbyist page. That being said, some of the sharpest, most knowledgeable people we know are also some of the more sarcastic. This is not a group. We are not moderating to save feelings. We learned a long time ago that some REAL wisdom about our REAL geckos is worth much more than getting ego pains over a virtual insult or comment in a virtual world. If you cannot understand that logic, this may not be the place for you to visit. If we have a gecko available, or if a breeder has a couple extras from a show (it does happen occasionally) we will mention it. We don't charge extra, but we also don't barter. Some breeders are very busy and would rather not be mentioned. For us, this is a hobby, for them this can mean their mortgage. So we respect their time and their privacy when they don't have time for PMs asking for info on critters. Other than that, enjoy the pictures! More serious detail will come and is currently in the works. But for now, welcome to the slideshow! Ian & Misty
