She was returned due to her owner not having time for her. She is potty trained, loves attention will allow you to go to the bathroom by yourself but will come to your aid if called. She is housebroken🥳 but not a cat fan. Please help find her a person, home and a soft bed. Thank you 🥰

Just wanted to let everyone know all of the animals are fine and so is the staff. Thank you for caring. We've had some damage but nothing that can't be fixed.
A huge shout out to the Staff 🥰
Again.... they put the animals before themselves. We are so fortunate to have them ❤️.

DOUG, stayed with the animals for most of the storm. STACY, who gets there early, 4 or 5 AM, just to get the animals out because of the heat. JOSH, who jumps right in and helps wherever he is needed and SYLVIA, our Kitty Guru, who is first to greet the public. Molly, who is unpaid but helps in a whole lot of ways. This is a great team🥳

After tropical storms and Hurricanes like Debbie, numerous animals become separated from their owners. To assist in their prompt return home, simply photograph any stray animals you encounter after the storm and share their pictures on the Jefferson County, FL - lost, Found & Helping Pets page.

We do not have any dog houses left or barrels but we have some large Square trash cans if you need for outside shelter for dogs. Drive in and grab them.

If you have a pet carrier, crate, toys, bowls, traps, Etc please drop at the shelter for someone who needs.

As you prepare for the bad weather please check on others and see if there's something you can do to help them. The simplest thing to you maybe huge to somebody else.🥰

Please secure your animals high and dry.

A quick update for all who have called or come by the shelter about the 4 to 6 wks old puppies that fell off a pickup truck 7/22 on Old Monticello Rd in a cage. We did find out the owner left them in a bucket outside of Thomasville Humane Society when they were closed....they turn them over to Animal Services. We understand puppies were in bad shape, loaded with worms, parasites, flea, ticks, etc. One with a very severe wound and not sure about internal damage. Hoping for an update soon 🙏.
This Monticello resident brought us 12 puppies last year in the same condition and feral. He has several feral dogs running loose that just keep producing unwanted litters. He told us they recently killed a baby deer. He wants his dogs fixed and to keep them but cannot touch them. We spent a lot of time and energy setting something up last year and then he did not respond. We don't have the Manpower resources to handle. Animal control only has Robbie, the director right now. If you can help the owner, would you please message us. Thanks everyone for your help💕

Please share🙏 help find Luna a forever home. She is still waiting for her forever family. She is a very shy and gentle, 8 year old Shepard mix. She needs a home with a fenced in yard as Luna does not do well on a leash. She does really well with another dog in the house but not one that is too young and energetic that will harass her. She's getting to be an older lady. Unfortunately her person passed and the family was unable to keep her. She would even love for you to come visit her. 🥰
