Meet Leona a Weim that’s small in size, but big in heart. 💙

This 1.5-year-old, 50lb blue Weim is looking for a very special forever home. Leona came from a backyard breeder and arrived in rescue scared, unsure, and shut down. But with time, patience, and love, she’s started to blossom, and now it’s her turn to keep growing in a home of her own.

Leona is:
🤍 Playful, silly, and full of potential
🤍 SO sweet, cuddly, and treat-motivated
🤍 Crate trained and great with other dogs
🤍 Still working on potty training and leash skills

She needs a calm, quiet home ideally with another confident dog to play with and learn from. No young kids please as sudden movements can still spook her. GGWR is committed to this girl and will cover the cost of positive reinforcement training to support her continued progress.

Leona is a work in progress, yes, but the kind that turns into something beautiful with love and patience. Ready to help her keep blooming?

🎉 ADOPTED: Rudy → Gustoff (aka Goose)! 💙🐾

From skinny and scared in an Utah shelter to living his best life back where his heart belongs. Goose’s story is one of resilience, love, and second chances.

This beautiful five-year-old boy was found as a stray, and we knew we had to step in. We brought him to Colorado where he could feel safe, gain weight, and let his sweet, goofy personality shine. And shine he did! ✨

Now officially adopted, Goose is back in Utah with a mom and dad who ADORE him and a Weimy sister, Gracie, who’s thrilled to have a brother again. He has a big backyard to explore, goes on daily walks, cuddles in his Wrapped in Love blanket and is living the dog park dream. 🐶

From stray to cherished… Goose, you are SO loved.

🌹 Meet Rosie! 🌹

This beautiful blue Weim is 8 years old and ready to start the life she’s always deserved. After spending her entire life as a backyard breeder dog, Rosie is finally getting a chance to know love, comfort, and play, and now she’s looking for a forever family to call her own. 💙

Rosie is:
🤍 Sweet, friendly, and learning to trust more each day
🤍 Great with other dogs (but no cats, please!)
🤍 Crate trained and gentle with treats
🤍 Enjoys toys, walks nicely on leash with some encouragement
🤍 Doing wonderfully with her potty training

🚨 Diesel still needs us! 🚨

We’ve posted about Diesel before, but his fight isn’t over. This sweet boy endured a YEAR of pain with a screw damaging his joint, and while surgery was a big step forward, his road to recovery is long and costly. We are doing everything we can to save his leg, but the worst-case scenario is amputation.

💙 The good news? Diesel is already showing signs of progress - stretching his leg for the first time in a year and even starting to bear weight! But he needs continued care, rehab, and support to keep moving forward.

🙏 We are begging for your help. Diesel deserves this chance. Every donation, no matter the size, brings him closer to healing. Please give if you can, share his story, and help us fight for this brave boy!

Can you Help Diesel!?! ❤️ Diesel is a young male Weimaraner who just turned four; he came into rescue at the end of December of 2024. He was an owner surrender & we knew he would need another surgery for us to help him. He had TPLO surgery in January of 2024 and had not been putting weight on his right hind leg since then…one year! Something needed to be done. We got him into the Colorado Canine Orthopedic Center in Colorado Springs. He needed arthroscopic surgery to go in and see what was going on. His knee was a mess, there was a screw in the joint and an infection tract. They removed the old hardware from his first surgery & cleaned up the area. Diesel has been put on 3 different antibiotics 💊 and has had a reaction to the first two. He seems to be stable on the 3rd one. Hoping to get him into PT rehab soon. He has an appt for a rehab consult this week for work with an underwater 💦 treadmill. We could use some monetary help for him as this first round of x-rays, surgery & medication cost us $3500. Because of the year long muscle atrophy he will need rehab and possible supplements to continue his healing journey. Estimates for moving forward could add up to an additional $1500 or more.

He has the most wonderful caregivers who took him in to help him through all of his upcoming Physical Therapy and to get him back to a full and happy life. They are on board for whatever he needs!

Linda Hoover with Rescued Hearts Unique Boutique, a supporter of , is also a Tellington TTouch therapist who recently met Diesel and worked with him. Here is what she had to say:

I am SO glad that Diesel ended up with Grey Ghost!!! I don’t believe any other rescue would’ve truly understood his needs, much less addressed anything other than surgery to remove the screw and tidy things up inside. They would’ve done that basic thing and felt that was sufficient. I thank God that you have the wisdom and experience to know that in order for him to have the best life possible he needs ongoing physical therapy and emotional healing. I don’t think you could’ve found a better home for him because their level of dedication is exactly what it’s gonna take to see him through this, and get him to the point of having the best life he possibly can. I think the future is bright for him.
