Say hello to this sweet boy, Charlie 💙

This handsome three-year-old, 75-pound Weimaraner is ready to find his person, and we know whoever adopts him will be one lucky human!

Charlie is your classic Velcro dog. He’s loyal, affectionate, and ALWAYS by your side. He’s a go-with-the-flow kind of guy who loves daily walks, playtime, and curling up on the couch for snuggles. His ideal home is an active family that can give him plenty of love, attention, and at least 2–3 miles of daily exercise. He walks beautifully on leash, plays well with other dogs, and is crate trained. He’s also wonderful with kids (just no cats, please!).

Charlie’s foster says he’s “the best boy” and we couldn’t agree more. His previous family loved him deeply, but long work hours meant he wasn’t getting the time he deserved. Now he’s looking for a home where someone is around often and ready to make him the center of their world.

This weekend, our hearts were full and so was our gratitude. 💙

We were honored to receive a generous grant check from in Colorado Springs! This incredible nonprofit thrift and gift shop is built on a passion for rescue, and we are beyond grateful to be one of the organizations they’ve chosen to support.

Their ongoing commitment to animal rescue makes a real difference, not just for us, but for so many dogs who need a second chance.

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers and board members who came out to show support at the event, including Tracy Heicksen, Jenny Piazza, and Pam Richmond. We are so lucky to have such a dedicated community behind us!

Every grant, every volunteer, every show of support keeps Grey Ghost Weimaraner Rescue going strong, and we are deeply thankful.

In 2022, one of our Grey Ghost families faced unimaginable loss. They said goodbye to two beloved Weimaraners, Ranger and Stella, within just five months. The grief was overwhelming. The silence in their home felt unbearable, and they promised themselves they’d never get another dog again.

But as Queen Elizabeth once said, “Grief is the price we pay for love.”

Three years later, love found its way back to them through two Grey Ghost rescues: Johnny Utah and Grace. Johnny Utah arrived as a nine-week-old puppy, and Grace came from a family who could no longer care for her. These two didn’t just fill the quiet in their home, they healed it. They reminded this family that love, even after loss, is always worth it. ❤️

That’s the power of rescue, and it’s why we’re launching our first Annual Giving Campaign, running from October 27 through November 27.

🐾 Our goal: Raise $10,000 to help Weimaraners in need (dogs just like Johnny Utah and Grace).

Happy days ahead for Bravo! 💙

At just 2 years old, Bravo came into rescue with a few hurdles. He struggled with reactivity and was unsure how to interact with other dogs. But thanks to an incredible two-week positive reinforcement board-and-train program, Bravo gained confidence, learned new skills, and showed us just how much potential he truly has.

We were thrilled to see him thrive, especially with female dogs, and even more thrilled when he found his perfect match with a wonderful Grey Ghost alumni family!

Bravo now spends his days going on walks, mountain hikes, and soaking up love from his two teenage siblings. He also has a new older Weimy sister, Winnie, to show him the ropes and keep him company.

And of course, he’s wrapped in love, literally. Bravo is settling in with snuggles in his Wrapped in Love blanket, knowing he’s finally safe, supported, and home.

From reactive to relaxed, from rescue to forever, Bravo, we are SO proud of you.
