It’s official, we no longer have any breeding dogs. All of our adults have been rehomed. We couldn’t have asked for better homes for them, each one of them are now inside dogs.❤️ If you’re looking for a sweet dachshund we can always refer you to some of our good friends. We have learned so much from this opportunity and have met some amazing families. We will continue to post adventures of Kobe, Lola, Chevy and Hooey here. Please feel free to continue sending us updates, it does our souls good. But for now, enjoy this picture of Hooey, he has taken over Lake Norfork this weekend.

Hey friends!!
We have decided to quit breeding. We are super busy and feel like we can’t give them the time that they deserve. We will be keeping this page so you can still follow us and all of our craziness. So with all of that being said, we have 3 adult dogs to retire. We will require a small rehoming fee. They are all AKC but will not coming with breeding rights unless you pay for them. We appreciate each and every one of you, we love getting updates, so keep sending them!

This weekend we got to watch some of our own favorites. Those of you who have been with us from the beginning know that Hazel (Right) was our very first female dachshund that we bred. Sadie (Left) was Hazel’s first puppy she ever had. These two have had some very pretty puppies. Both have retired and are living with a family member, we get to snuggle these sweet girls from time to time.

This week we are dog sitting Ms. Maddie. Maddie is the daughter of Kobe and Dolly and the mother of Wrangler. She is what I call the ideal silky. She is the best snuggler but has a little attitude(we know she gets that from Kobe). We know for some of you it would be a drive, but if you’re ever looking for a dachshund dog sitter, please consider us. It’s $25 a day, discount if there is more than one, your dog has to be fully vaccinated and we do crate them at night….welllllll maybe 😉. We had 8 total inside this past weekend, it was a bit wild.

It’s with a heavy heart that I post that our Sis passed over the rainbow bridge during her labor today. We are shocked and confused as to why this happened to her. She had not delivered any of her puppies so they also passed. It’s been a rough day for all of us here. Sis was going to be a first time mom. She was one of the happiest dachshunds we have had, never met a stranger and always loved to lick you. She will be missed.

It’s kind of a sad day here at Crazy Acres. Our sweet Kobe has had some prostate issues and he is currently at the vet to be neutered. We have tried to retire him in the past but everyone loves Kobe so we continued to breed him. He has sired over 75+ puppies. So as of today, he’s officially retired! 🎉 No worries though, his adventures will still continue as he hates to be left at home.
When I told him to “load up” in the car today, it was like he knew, he grabbed his baby and hopped in the front seat. He does think he’s better than kennel life so he was already crying in the back when we left him. We will pick him up tomorrow.
In the mean time, flood our comments with Kobe’s “kids”! ⬇️

We are back from vacation. We enjoyed our time away, if you messaged us last week we will be getting back to you shortly. Kobe has meet Hooey, he was a little hateful at first but they have decide that a Sunday nap together won’t be so bad after all. Notice who has the toy though…

Jackie is a 2 year old ACA Registered long haired piebald dachshund. He’s super sweet, house broke, doggie door trained and crate trained. We bought him to breed but he doesn’t like the kennel life. He gets along with other female dogs and any large dogs but tries to be the Alfa with male dogs his own size.

Meet Sis!🎀
Sis is an unregistered long haired dapple. She is happy go lucky, has never met a stranger and loves kids. And we’ve been keeping a secret once again. Sis will have her first litter in about 20 days. Our Blu boy sired this litter so we expect some blues, reds and some black and tans but we never really know what we’re gonna get. So keep your 👀 open and continue stalking us!

Pupdate:Cedar has found his forever home in Maryland! Meet Cedar🐾🌳 Cedar is a blue dapple, long haired, mini dachshund. He is AKC registered and micro chipped. Cedar will be ready for his forever home on 7/13/23. He will be up to date on all shots and worming. Cedar is well socialized and use to other animals. Kobe got to get out for an evening drive, windows down, hair blowing in the wind and all the smells. He‘s living his best life.

A lot of you probably don’t know what all goes into picture day here at the kennel. I make sure the puppies are well fed, loved on and I turn the heat up 🥵. And of course I had to add in some Christmas music today. Stay tuned I will be adding pup dates later this afternoon.

Update: he has found his forever home!❤️ Meet Billie, unregistered, male long haired black and tan piebald dachshund was born on 6/13/21 and will be 8 weeks old and ready for his new home on 8/8/21. He is the most chill pup. I expect him to be maybe 10lbs at maturity. He comes completely de-wormed and will be up to date on vaccinations. He will go home with a sample of puppy food to get him started. Message us for more details about this puppy.
