🌟🐾 Celebrating National Veterinary Technician Week 🐾🌟

This week, we honor the heartbeat of Crossroads Animal Hospital — our incredible team of veterinary assistants, our Licensed Veterinary Technician, and one amazing kennel assistant who goes above and beyond to help our tech team shine. 💚

Every day, Julie, Kaylee, Abi, Erin, Maddie, Lorena, and Annie pour their hearts into caring for our patients and supporting our doctors. They are the ones holding a paw during a tough moment, celebrating a clean bill of health, and comforting families through every stage of their pet’s life.

Their compassion, skill, and dedication shine in every exam room, every kennel, and every patient cuddle. Annie, who also steps in two days a week to help in our tech area, brings such positivity and teamwork — we are so thankful for her support and energy! 💕

We see the early mornings, the late nights, and the love that never wavers — and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Please join us in celebrating these extraordinary women who make Crossroads feel like family.

We’re so proud to celebrate one of our very own — Erin — for officially completing her Veterinary Assistant Certification through Dallas College! 🐾💙

Erin’s dedication, compassion, and hard work shine through every day here at Crossroads. This amazing accomplishment is a reflection of her commitment to learning, growing, and providing the very best care for our patients.

We can’t wait to see her continue her education next as she works toward becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician! 🩺✨

🐾 Patient of the Day 🐾

Meet Boba, an adventurous kitty who decided that a fishhook makes a great snack… spoiler alert: it doesn’t! 🎣😹

Cats are naturally curious, and shiny, wiggly fishing lures can look like the purr-fect toy. But fishhooks can cause serious injuries if swallowed or caught in the mouth, tongue, or throat. Ouch!

👉 Fishhook Facts for Pet Parents:
• Keep tackle boxes and fishing gear safely stored away.
• Never leave lures lying around after a fishing trip.
• If your cat (or dog!) gets into a hook, don’t try to remove it yourself—head straight to your veterinarian.

This brave little angler is doing well now, but let’s keep the fishing fun to the lakes and ponds—not the kitties! 🐟❤️🐱
