The original “Horsemans Hideaway”, built in the 1960's, consisted of an arena where Rodeos were held, a campground in the woods and a clubhouse where all could gather after a long days ride. He built a ten stall barn with a stage on the front of it out in the middle of a former cow field. It wasn’t long before he had old friends Marshall Tucker “playin’ in the pasture”. 38 Special followed soon af
ter in 2003. We have been thankful to be involved with the local chapter of Independent Bikers who have chosen to have their Annual Poker Run to benefit the Cleveland Rutherford Kidney Association here at the farm since 2005. Working close with this group over the years has brought us in touch with old friends, new friends and our community in such a positive way. We still have Rodeos in the arena, (not by choice, we just shouldn't be riding young horses anymore!) We hang out in the Horsemans Hideaway, (and sing really bad Karaoke!) and we camp in the campground (not nearly as much as we would like to!)
We look forward to many more years of making new friends, promoting great original music and sharing our farm and festivities with others.
