Angels Helping Animals is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation dedicated to helping improve the lives of fur babies in need. We are a family run rescue that has an amazing Angels family of volunteers, adopters and supporters. Without our amazing Angels Family we would not be able to do what we do! Angels Helping Animals is a rescue that strives to help any fur baby in need. We have our own adoption pr

ogram to find "furever" homes for those in need. We work with other rescues and shelters to share donations during times of need. We also have a growing TNR (trap- neuter-release) program that works to minimize the number of free-roaming, feral, abandoned and homeless cats. We work to humanely trap colonies of cats, have them neutered or spayed, vaccinated and evaluated. This keeps the size of the colony small by not allowing cats to reproduce and allows us to place adoptable cats into their "furever" homes. Every donation we receive goes directly to helping animals in need. All administration costs for Angels Helping Animals have always and will always be taken care of personally by our volunteers. No donation money is ever used. This means that 100% of your donation will always go towards helping a fur baby in need. Welcome to the Angels family!

Our hearts are heavy tonight as our boy Paco crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Paco came to us in 2018 after being rescued from a horrifically neglectful and abusive situation. Despite spending his first 17 years of life not knowing much love and being thrown away, he spent the rest of his life knowing nothing but love 💙. As he grew older, his life consisted of warmed fleecy blankets and a snuggly bed. He absolutely adored Kate and tolerated the rest of us 😂. We loved him for his devotion to her and are finding peace in the fact that he was able to cross the Rainbow Bridge while sleeping in his favorite bed, wrapped in a warmed fleecy blanket. 🌈🐾

So many times we get asked what if the kitten doesn’t get along with a resident cat. Meet former Angels Adoptable Smudge (on the right). We reassured his new family there would be an adjustment period but that they would work it now. Look at Smudge now with Tessa now! These two are inseparable! 😻

Willow is dreaming of the day her furever family comes along ❤️

Willow is from our Stray to Stay program. Originally part of a TNR plan, we discovered what a love she is! She can be a bit shy until she gets comfortable. Willow is playful little girl who is unique with her one brown paw. This silly girl tends to have her tongue out at times lol and loves playing with balls. Willow is in foster with other cats and does great. She’s learning to warm up to pups.

Willow is about 5 months old, spayed, FIV/FeLV negative, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations.

We just can’t figure out how our Libby is still looking for her furever home. Liberty (aka Libby) came to us when she was just 10 days old after she was found alone during the fireworks. Her momma was no where around and never came back for her. This little girl loves to snuggle and has the loudest motor! She loves to play and jingle balls are her favorite! She has been in foster with pups and kitties and does well with both.

Liberty is about 5 months old , FIV/FeLV negative, microchipped and has her age appropriate vaccines.

We need to raise $636 to save $414! One of our biggest expenses are tests for FIV/FeLV. Every kitten and cat that is adopted gets tested for these two disease. Any time a cat goes in through urget care for a sick visit, one of the first tests that are run is a FIV/FeLV test. Individually, with our rescue discount they are $70 each. We have opportunity to purchase a box of 15 for $636. These same tests if purchased individually would cost $1,050! Please help us purchase a box so that we can help more!

We weren’t looking to take on any expenses in addition to our regular ones right now. We just can’t. How do you say no when you see a fur baby suffering so much? Spirit showed up at his angel’s house about a week ago. She saw the horrible condition that he was in and began reaching out for help as she could not afford the medical expenses. Numerous phone calls and no one would help. She reached out to us Thursday and sent us the video below. By Friday afternoon he was seen at our vet through urgent care. Unfortunately, blood tests showed that he was in horrible condition. Every value was the extreme opposite of what it should be. This poor boy had ulcers covering his entire tongue and down into his throat. His organs had begun to fail. The most humane thing was the help him cross the Rainbow Bridge. We have opted for private cremation and his angel will take his ashes home. Whatever his story was before, we will never know. We do know he knew love in the end. We are estimating his bill to be approximately $600. We are waiting for the final invoice from our vet. Bloodwork alone with all testing was $200. On top of that will be the urgent care exam fee, euthanasia and private cremation. Please help us cover these unexpected but necessary expenses so that we can continue to help others. Charlie has the sweetest disposition and just loves scritches…on the ears, under the chin, on his tummy- doesn’t matter where. He loves it! Charlie has learned how to make biscuits and purrs up a storm! He is ready to find his furever home! Celebrating National Kitten Day with some of our most adorable adoptables and soon to be adoptables 💚

💥Emergency Foster Needed!💥 Yesterday we had two get adopted and took in five more. We are filled. We are desperate. We need a foster. We received a phone call from an Angel who wants to help. A work colleague had adopted a pair of kittens last year (private adoption so they won’t take the kittens back). Since the adoption, kitten behavior has created a stressful situation and the adopter is not adjusting as well to being a cat dad as he thought he would. This has resulted in the cats being confined to minimize any litter mess. He colleague offered to help and reached out to us. If we cannot find an emergency placement then these two bonded cats will be dropped off at the shelter where they will be separated. They are both fixed and up to date on their vaccines. We do not have many pics but are sharing a video that shows how friendly they are. Negative comments will be deleted. Our focus is to find a foster or adopter for these two. Look who’s feeling better!! That’s our handsome Apollo!! 😻

We need prayers, positive vibes and donations for Apollo. His current bill for his care is $1,200 and climbing. We need help covering Apollo's care because how do you put a price on a little kitten who has fought for his life every day of his 11 weeks? This little boy has had the roughest start in life. He was found, along with his sister, abandoned in a trash bag in the park at just a few weeks old. Everything was going well and Apollo had his first kitten wellness appointment about two weeks ago. Late Monday night, Apollo spiked a high fever and his amazing foster family rushed him to Red Bank. Several hours later, his fever was going down and he was released with several meds to help control his fever. Unfortunately his condition worsened over the next 12 hours to the point where he is now struggling to walk. He was once again rushed to the vet for an emergency appointment. HIs fever spiked up to 106 (which is extremely high) while the vets worked to treat him. Currently his fever is of unknown causes which requires a PCR test to pretty much rule out any possible cause. He has started two preventative medications along with an appetite stimulate since he doesn't want to eat from feeling so crappy. His foster family is doing subq fluids several times a day to also keep him hydrated and help with the fever. Last week, Kate posted a message here explaining how we are broke. We thankfully raised enough to almost cover our bill for the last two weeks of over $3,000. Our amazing Angels family sent us care packages and food for our babies. When you get a call about a pregnant momma in Camden and just have nowhere for her to go…the relief you feel when the finder, a city resident, brings her in to have her babies! 😻 Three were born yesterday. Once weaned, momma will be fixed and vetted then up for adoption (of course babies will be too!)

Love starting the day seeing our amazing kitten rescue on 6abc! So thankful Team Gale Tree Service was able to come out right away after we called!

Our Story

Angels Helping Animals is an all-volunteer, non-profit group dedicated to improving the lives of animals in need.

Our original vision was dedicated to improving of shelter animals by providing much needed supplies, including but not limited to food, bedding, toys, cleaning supplies. We do the fundraising, the necessary shopping and the coordination and delivery to shelters. Angels Helping Animals was to be the link between the general public who would like to give to shelters but either do not have the time or are not sure how to proceed and the shelters who so desperately need the public’s help.

Since we have started, Angels Helping Animals has grown larger than we ever imagined possible. We now have a rapidly expanding TNR (trap-neuter-release) program. Our colonies are cared for on a daily basis, providing food, shelter and vet care to our feral cats. Many have reached out to us for assistance when they encounter a colony of cats in need.

Our adoption program has also developed and grown over the past few years since we began. We are a foster-based rescue, which means all of our adoptable pets are located in the homes of our volunteers. This ensures that our pets have the smoothest transition into their furever homes when they are adopted.
