Angels Helping Animals Angels Helping Animals is an all-volunteer, non-profit group in NJ dedicated to helping fur babies. Angels Helping Animals is an all-volunteer group.

Angels Helping Animals is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation dedicated to helping improve the lives of fur babies in need. We are a family run rescue that has an amazing Angels family of volunteers, adopters and supporters. Without our amazing Angels Family we would not be able to do what we do! Angels Helping Animals is a rescue that strives to help any fur baby in need. We have our own adoption pr

ogram to find "furever" homes for those in need. We work with other rescues and shelters to share donations during times of need. We also have a growing TNR (trap- neuter-release) program that works to minimize the number of free-roaming, feral, abandoned and homeless cats. We work to humanely trap colonies of cats, have them neutered or spayed, vaccinated and evaluated. This keeps the size of the colony small by not allowing cats to reproduce and allows us to place adoptable cats into their "furever" homes. Every donation we receive goes directly to helping animals in need. All administration costs for Angels Helping Animals have always and will always be taken care of personally by our volunteers. No donation money is ever used. This means that 100% of your donation will always go towards helping a fur baby in need. Welcome to the Angels family!

Shelters needed!!

We had a senior reach out today desperately in need of four cat shelters for her colony kitties. Unfortunately we do not have any to help her. We are looking for four assembled shelters of any type (totes or manufactured) to help keep her babies warm.

Please reach out if you are able to assist!

It has been a rough few days here at Angels with some of the calls that we have been working on behind the scenes. When we went in to our vet to pay our bill today, we were told that an anonymous donor had paid our entire balance!! This balance, not only included Minka (aka Layla) but several of our fosters as well. We aren’t sure who you are, but we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for bringing a bright spot to our week! The money that was raised for Minka (aka Layla) will go towards her follow up care. We know that she’s going to need at least another round of blood work, medication refills, and to have her vaccines updated.

So thank you!!! 💚

💥Foster or Furever Home Needed💥

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our Saturday rescue Layla (now named Minka) is desperately looking for a new foster placement or furever home. This little girl was rescued from an abusive, neglectful situation on Saturday. She has lost 90% of her hair due to yeast infections and bacteria infections on her skin which made her extremely itchy. Thankfully, her meds are giving her some relief besides not having much fur right now she is healthy. The foster that took her in is no longer able to care for her due to some personal issues that have come up. Minka has been non reactive with cats and other dogs. She has loved everybody that she has met! Minka’s current foster has been working to crate train her to help her deal with some separation anxiety which is understandable as she is still decompressing. Nothing with her skin condition is contagious and her hair is expected to grow back. All medical expenses will be covered by Angels at our vet in Pennsauken, NJ.

It truly does take a village to rescue! Last Friday at 4:40 AM we received a call from someone desperate to help. Layla had been dumped by family members on her bedridden grandmother. The other family member living in the house wanted nothing to do with Layla and wanted her gone. Layla also had a severe skin condition of unknown origins and the grandmother was unable to provide vet care. For an almost a week we reached out to anyone we could think of for help. At this point, even the shelter was unable to assist and had her on a waitlist for February. During the days that we were trying to find someone who would be able to take this poor girl in, it was also discovered that the man living in the house was abusing her. She trembled at the sight of him. It was also discovered that he didn’t think she needed to eat every day. Our hearts were breaking, but we had nowhere for her to go. As a last effort, we reached out to our friends at Pebbles Purpose. We knew they had a lot on their plate but was hoping maybe they had a suggestion. They were able to provide placement but are not able to take on the medical bills as they are overstretched just like we are. But we had to do something! Today we went to the house along with our friends at Pebbles Purpose to pick up Layla. We transported her to urgent care to be evaluated. While at urgent care, we did a full work for her blood and cytology to see what’s going on with her skin. Her hair loss is due to a severe yeast and bacterial infection. We can’t imagine how uncomfortable this little girl has been for so long. It was also discovered that most of her teeth are ground down likely from chewing on a chain or something similar. Layla was sent home with two different medication‘s and Bravecto to treat in case there are any mites. This is just the beginning of her medical expenses as she will need follow up treatment and appointments. Once she is feeling better, she will also need to be spayed and vaccinated. Throughout the entire time, Layla did nothing but wag her tail, and everyone that came in to see her, even after the hell she had been subjected to.

Please help us cover her medical expenses as we know today alone will be at least $500.

We need our Angels family to help! Our two handsome boys, Tommy and Toby have been in foster now for over a year and we just don’t understand why! Please share our boys so that we can finally find their furever home!

Need some love in your life? Toby is here for the job! This little boy loves to snuggle and just wants to be pampered! Don’t be fooled- he still has lots of kitten energy for those play sessions! Tommy is a bit more laid back and follows his brother's lead. If Toby is playing, then so is he! If Toby is ready for a snuggle, Tommy is too!

Tommy & Toby are about 1 year old, neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, microchipped and are up to date on their vaccinations. Toby & Tommy are a bonded pair and will only be adopted together.

Our Story

Angels Helping Animals is an all-volunteer, non-profit group dedicated to improving the lives of animals in need.

Our original vision was dedicated to improving of shelter animals by providing much needed supplies, including but not limited to food, bedding, toys, cleaning supplies. We do the fundraising, the necessary shopping and the coordination and delivery to shelters. Angels Helping Animals was to be the link between the general public who would like to give to shelters but either do not have the time or are not sure how to proceed and the shelters who so desperately need the public’s help.

Since we have started, Angels Helping Animals has grown larger than we ever imagined possible. We now have a rapidly expanding TNR (trap-neuter-release) program. Our colonies are cared for on a daily basis, providing food, shelter and vet care to our feral cats. Many have reached out to us for assistance when they encounter a colony of cats in need.

Our adoption program has also developed and grown over the past few years since we began. We are a foster-based rescue, which means all of our adoptable pets are located in the homes of our volunteers. This ensures that our pets have the smoothest transition into their furever homes when they are adopted.
