SARGE a 9 year old purebred Doberman looking for his perfect fit. He LOVES food and will do anything for a treat. He is crate trained and prefers to sleep in his safe space of the crate. He has been professionally e-collar trained and knows many commands such as heel, come, sit, down and place once trained to his new “place”. He loves to go for car rides and chase away any deer or squirrels from the area! A fenced in yard is a must!

SARGE is high energy who acts much younger than his age. He is good with kids but because of his large size, high energy and occasional lack of spatial awareness, older kids would be best. He is not good with cats or small dogs. Larger dogs he can be aggressive with at first, but with proper introductions, he can get along with other large breed dogs.

SARGE will do best in a home that can give him lots of attention and exercise. He also needs an experienced large breed owner that can be his alpha. Could you be SARGE’s perfect fit?

Meet Sidney!

Sidney is a friendly, overall well-behaved
1 yr old Lab/Shepherd mix who weighs about 40lbs. He is both house trained and crate trained.

Sidney loves toys and attention from both people and dogs. He attaches very quickly. Did we mention….Sidney is also cat friendly!?

Sidney’s general personality is happy and excited! However, once he settles in, he can be a really cuddly and relaxed dog, too! Sidney can be a little shy at first, but easily warms up. Once he gains your trust, he is a Velcro dog and will follow you around! Sidney’s ideal home would have another energetic doggy play mate.

Sidney is smart and easily trainable. He’s very food motivated and wants to please you! This bright young pup already knows “sit” and “lay down” and would do great with an owner who can add some consistency and routine.

UPDATE…

BJ has just had his first surgery to wire his jaw for stabilization. He will need 7-10 weeks to recover from this before he goes back for tooth extraction. Today’s bill was $2769.32😳
His next surgery will remove the wires & buttons so they can then remove teeth. That surgery will be between $2000-3500. All help is greatly appreciated for this poor fellow. They believe he may have been hit by a car.😭 Please pray for our rescue team working with him & those helping with transport. Tracy Ponder rose to the occasion today on a minutes notice even though her back is hurt!🥰

This sweet boy, BJ, arrived at PAR with a massive jaw/mouth injury. While we are not sure of the cause, we do know he is going to receive the best care he can!

He is currently at Skyline Veterinary Specialists for multiple teeth extractions & jaw repair surgery. The estimated cost is $3,000-$5,000.

This itty-bitty is MARSHMALLOW, a 10yr old chihuahua mix that weighs 8lbs.

Marshmallow enjoys being outside and walks 🐾. She's never been around cats but is intrigued by them on walks. A true sweetheart, she thrives on snuggles and cozy companionship. Fully housebroken, she's a perfect indoor companion. This delightful little gal is ready to bring joy and warmth to your family! ❤️

Lake Norman Lucky Cat still has space available this Wednesday, January 15th, for low-cost cat Spay-Neuter 😸

Lucky Cats and Lake Norman Humane volunteers will provide another SPAY-NEUTER CLINIC TRANSPORT for cats on Wednesday, January 15TH! Drop-off & Pick-up in Mooresville. Our goal is to facilitate the sterilization of as many outdoor, unowned, free-roaming cats as possible. (These cats must come in traps regardless of their level of socialization.) We will also have space for cats in carriers on this transport. Cats coming in traps will receive spay/neuter surgery, rabies and distemper vaccinations, & ear tip - all for $35! Female cats coming in carriers will receive spay & rabies for $105. Male cats coming in carriers will receive neuter & rabies for $90. Distemper vaccinations (recommended) are an additional $15. Outdoor free-roaming cats that have not been altered ARE GETTING PREGNANT NOW! PLEASE HELP to reduce the cat population in our area by partnering with us to get cats fixed NOW! 😻 ANGEL UPDATE 😻

Remember Angel? The sweet Mama cat who was found with her 5 2-week old babies in a park by Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue- Rutherford County, NC during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. She was terribly sick and required surgery for an infected uterus. She had lost so much weight and was just skin & bones! 😿

We never gave up on her and although it took awhile, Angel was finally ready to be adopted, and boy did she hit the adoption jackpot! 🍀

Here is an update from her new Mom:

"It’s been a little less than 2 months since we adopted this sweet and vocal girl, now named Phenyx, previously known as Angel. We had to quarantine her for her first 2 weeks as she had a contagious respiratory and right eye infection. As LOVE and warmth would have it, my other 3 cats took in her in and welcomed her instantly. She has become very bonded with my blue-silver cat, Ashe. Her coat has fully grown in and she has gained almost 3 pounds. At her recent vet check on 12/20 she was deemed “perfectly healthy and a very loving kitty.” "

We are so happy Angel is getting her happily ever after! 💜

Meet CHEETO!!

Cheeto is a very sweet sensitive girl that is just over a year old. She can be shy at first due to an abusive past, but warms up with trust and patience. Once she trusts you she is a very loving companion.

This darling pup is housetrained and crate trained. She gets along GREAT with other dogs around her size. However, she is not a fan of small dogs or cats..

Cheeto's ideal home would be with a patient female owner who is home more often than not. If this sounds like you, Cheeto is just waiting to be your loyal friend.

Meet Covie!

From his foster "This handsome fella is Covie. He is one of the most affectionate cats I’ve ever met. His owner tragically lost his life during the storm a week or so ago when a tree struck his vehicle.

He is used to being spoiled by his Dad, and clearly misses him dearly. If you can be patient he warms up to be the cuddliest dude ever!! No surprise he really likes his foster Dad.

Covie will need someone who can be patient at first, then be ready and willing to provide all the belly rubs. He comes with several houses, blankets, water dishes, and food dishes."
