We are working on much more content for you and will be posting more behind the scenes videos and photos. but in the meantime..... Come feed the animals!
Guess who’s back?! Most of our cattle were turned back into the drive thru today after their vaccinations, bloodwork and testing!

The last few of our Percheron draft horses are being turned out across the road today for some vacation time! We will use their pasture to catch the animals for our vaccinations and testing. Stay tuned for more information.!
We are currently closed . We will continue to update with an opening date. Thank you for watching.
Take a look at how we work our animals through different gates and chutes for their annual vaccinations and testing. We are now CLOSED for approximately 2 weeks. Please check back for updates on our progress.
The yearly roundup begins!
Each year about a month before catching time, we move the feeding to the catch pen where we can easily close the gate. Most animals are coming in the pen but some of the smaller ones such as deer, Aoudad sheep, and tahr goats will need more practice! Black shade cloth is hung from all of the fences in the catch pens and lanes to help relieve the stress on the animals. Most animals do not grasp the concept of a fence as a human would and when in a pressure situation they would run at the wire fence and try to push through it like it were brush in the wild. The presence of the shade cloth makes it a solid structure in their eyes and greatly reduces the chance that they will run at the fence lines to try and push through them. This decreases the risk for something to hurt itself and also makes it much easier for them to locate the openings since it goes from a solid black line to an open gate. Most of the larger animals such as watusi, buffalo, and llamas will easily follow the fence line and be caught while other such as blackbuck antelope and several species of deer will be much more difficult. The animals are funneled from the larger catch pens into a series of smaller catch pens and then into lanes where they are loaded on the trailers and taken to the barns to be tested, wormed and vaccinated.
We will be CLOSED beginning Monday January 26th, hopefully for about 2 weeks. We will be updating our expected open date frequently. Please continue to follow our progress this winter and feel free to ask any questions!
Drive thru hours this weekend: Saturday 9-5, Sunday 12-5. Please plan to arrive by 4pm. Have a great week!
📣 Sound up! 📣
Rainy day fun! Most of our draft horses made the yearly trek across the highway today for their winter vacation. (Don’t worry, we still have wagon rides by reservation!) This move will allow us to utilize the horse pasture during our annual roundup and vaccination time that will begin Monday, January 27th with the last day being open Sunday January 26th.
More details and video on that to come so be sure to follow along! 🐴
Headed out to pasture at the end of a long day!
Their work is done for the day! 💪
After wagon rides, our Percheron horses that pull the wagons are unharnessed and hosed off in the wash bay. Dont worry, they still have plenty of energy to put on a show when being turned out to pasture for the night! This video features Jane (and her work partner, Bob, waiting for her at the end!) 🐴
