This sweet girl is our little old lady of the shelter and she has been overlooked EACH time!! Abby is 8 years old, loves loves loves belly rubs, can be a little guarding of her toys etc. so her family will know how to work with that and how to educate others to do the same! That doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve a chance at THE best life, it just means her family is going to know how to handle her quirks! She walks great on a leash, is a gentle treat taker, is totally housebroken and is one sweet old lady!!! She was an owner surrender after her previous owner was no longer to physically able to handle her due to her own health concerns. Abby has now been here for 62 days today and SHE NEEDS HER FAMILY TO FIND HER!! She has never been around cats, so we don’t know or have that information. She was also never around children in her previous home and there was another dog in the home with whom it wasn’t a match for them. We have seen no issues with her interaction (although limited and not in a home environment) with either while she has been here. Of course, we always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption. If you would like more information on sweet Abby, our old lady, please come and visit the shelter IN PERSON! Her fee is waived AND her adopter will receive two free sessions with Highland Canine Training!!
