Well I was hoping getting Claudia started on the antibiotics as soon as I noticed her skin looking irritated would prevent this. The vet has already confirmed my suspicion. That is infection!!! ☹️Ms. Claudia just gained herself a ticket to the dreaded ole vet lol. She has an appointment for 3:00 today. I’m glad she’s going as it will give me some peace of mind and guidance. 🙌

Unfortunately, we are really struggling in the funds department. Between buying food, treating Claudia’s ears, getting her antibiotics, and all the other things that come with doggies our funds are looking sad. We would really appreciate any help. No amount is too small! Thank you for your continued support. ❤️

Sissy hasn’t been feeling the best. 🥺
She had one infected ear so we treated that. Then her other ear started looking gross. We treated and cleared that up. Now, her skin is looking awful red and irritated. I picked up antibiotics yesterday and started her on them! We’ve gotta get Ms. Claudia back to her goofy self.

We have a VERY happy pupdate. Pebbles unexpectedly found her fur ever home. My mom was interested in adopting a senior and I said Pebbles is your girl! She is thriving and they love her quirky personality. ❤️❤️

It’s been a while since we’ve done $2 Tuesday! We have a few things we are in desperate need of but at the top of the list is the pups food! Also a priority is Claudia’s ear. Last night while I was cleaning Claudia’s ear I noticed how inflamed, red, and yucky it is so she’ll need to be seen and treated too! I’m not a vet but I’m pretty positive she has an ear infection. Any amount truly does make all the difference.❤️

I got up early this morning because I could hear Pebbs up and I wanted to check on her. Sometimes she will get up during the night and kinda of pace and wonder. I can tell by the sound of the paw steps who it is. She does a little prance when she walks. I think she has a touch of dementia. Usually when I hear her I check the cameras and she is just getting water. Well turns out this morning she just needed to be tucked back in and to know I am around. She’s sleeping peacefully now. All of them are but the chis look extra cozy so I had to snag a picture!

We hope everyone has a great Thursday! The babies received mail that we are so grateful for. The babies aunt from Pa sent male wraps & diapers! A sweet friend sent 2 cases of wet food, a bed, wipes, and diapers. There was no note saying who sent the goodies but I have a pretty good idea! These will be perfect for Pebbles! Thank you both so, so much. We couldn’t do it without yall.

April 28th, 2025 will make one year since Claudia joined us here at the sanctuary. Time has truly flown by. This is the very first picture I have of her. It’s special because she is the original sanctuary baby. In almost a year we’ve been so fortunate to help numerous dogs. Since April of 2024 we have been going non stop to help pups in our community and surrounding areas. I need to do a better job of keeping count so we can look back and see the difference we’ve made! Thank you to the ones who have backed us from the beginning and our new friends. It’s been a year full of growth and learning!

Claudia surprised us by voluntarily going outside to potty in the snow. It obviously took a lot out of her. This girl is something else.

We still need a couple more cans of wet food! Flossie, Ray, Luke, bubba, and Pebbles eat this food. We have lots of hungry little mouths to feed. Our funds are also low so we’d be very appreciative for any help with feeding these babies.

We have our info below. Our wishlist is “pinned” at the top of our page. We also don’t mind picking up at any store in Tupelo, Ms weather permitting.

Happy pupdate: Molly made it safely to her rescue and foster. ❤️

Meet Molly! She’s a tiny senior. She will be staying the night at the sanctuary and will head to her rescue tomorrow. We are fortunate to be apart of her story. She is soooo incredibly sweet. Thank you to the rescue who is taking her and ensuring she finds the perfect home. 💕

Pebbles ❤️❤️

We have been preparing for possible snow. The south shuts down when we have snow because our roads are not treated and frankly we aren’t prepared like the north. At least Mississippi does lol. We’ve gotten all the babies medicine refilled. Put clean sweaters on the tiny babies for extra warmth. Pulled out the doggy heating pad (designed for dogs, it’s safe). We have a good amount of kibble and wet food but could always use more! 😊 We are still working on the mountain of laundry. We are going to fill up some pitchers with water just in case. With so many babies in our care we’d rather be over prepared. Any of our northern peeps have any advice?

Flossie and I are supposed to be folding doggy laundry but instead we decided to take a break and just lay on it. The chores keep us so busy at times we forget to just slow down and enjoy them. Flossie has bad legs. Sometimes she looks funny because of it but we love her anyway. Flossie Belle is the best. ❤️

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! We are still recovering from all the excitement. Everyone is doing well and they loved their gifts. We are so thankful for you all. Side note, Luke really loves his new bed but surprisingly he still comes to hangout. ❤️
