“Fun Day, Monday”!! 💕… After attending our annual grooming convention and educational seminars, we decided it was time to bring a bit more fun into the shop! Squishy the poodle pup is sporting “earring bling” and fancy neckwear! ❤️(don’t worry, no piercing happening here, just a dab of child safe glue). Peggy, our shop mascot got a full makeover ! Including leopard print pattern and a crystal tiara! And of course, all the dyes we use are safe and made specifically for dogs. Life is short, go ahead and be a little Extra!! 😃

We had the pleasure of meeting Miss Juno the other day. 💕 We were very excited because she is such a rarity! So now we are going to test your dog knowledge…. The first person to correctly guess what type of dog Juno is, wins a free seasonal or skin care package on their next visit! Good luck!!

Edit: Nancy got it on the first try. Juno is an Entlebucher Mountain Dog. One of the four Swiss Breeds of Mountain Dog. The others being The Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Bernese Mountain Dog, and the Appenzeller Mountain Dog. This was the first time in my 37 year career I had the chance to groom a Entlebucher (or even see one in person....they are THAT rare!). She was sweet as pie and we loved spending time with her!

Happy Sunday!
As most people know, French Bulldogs are near and dear to my heart. I myself have 3 amazing girls, Jojo, Peggy and Evie. Unfortunately in the last few years, Frenchies have become the most popular breed in America. The demand for puppies has lead to a huge number of unscrupulous breeders jumping on the breeding band wagon. Now, the market has become flooded with dogs needing homes. All our Southland shelters are seeing a massive influx of French Bulldogs.

In an effort to help locally, I am joining up with SoCal French Bulldog Rescue. They are a foster-based rescue, saving sick, injured, & unwanted Frenchies in SoCal. They medically rehabilitate each Frenchie & find their furever homes.
Soon I hope to be helping with foster processing, transport , and social media. But today I am sharing their latest fundraiser. They have coupled with Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. (She can tell you all about our local trees!) When she’s not working, Cassandra can be found volunteering her time in the Moorpark College ceramics lab. It’s that time of year again!! Dog’s shedding cycles are linked to the number of daylight hours (not temperature). As our days get longer, you will notice more and more fluff bunnies on your floors.
