Bragging moment!!! My students did amazing this weekend!! There was a lot of firsts, first time down center line for Deb and Arco, First show for Ashlynn, first time English for Brynn, Zoe showing English for the first time, first time in the show ring for Legend, first show weekend for Max ( our lesson horse), Kinlee, Deanna, Rachel, Courtney, Stephanie, Preston and Cora all did great to… Daisy (27) and peppy (28) showed everyone that age is just a number by taking first in ribbion race and other speed events along with River Ranches Oreo (29)

Legend is a 16 yr old Arab that is in competition. He is a very cuddly kid, he has learned to stand tied quietly or in cross ties, while being saddled, groomed and trimmed. He has willing to try new things but has sticky feet sometimes. He is not a speed event horse. So far he is more confident in groups than on his own. He is able to walk and trot with some help.
He also stands well for the farrier.

I am so proud of Legend. he unlocked his brain and his feet tonight!!! We got some good trotting in. He feels more comfortable doing smaller circles than the whole arena right now but that is ok. We also worked on trot poles and backing.

update!
Legend has been doing ok. He is settled in and getting comfortable in the indoor arena even trotting some. We have been working on his confidence and I rode him outside for the first time yesterday. He trotted a small bit but got nervous again.
He is also working on showmanship, the plan is to expose him this weekend to a show environment in showmanship for sure and hopefully an under saddle class if he can get the courage to trot outside.

We are looking for people to help unload hay.
So our hay will not be ready to unload until Monday early evening like 3 or 4 please.
There will be pizza for everyone who can come help unload and stack hay.

One week till our show!!! Please get those registrations in!!! We will be adding two classes Sunday. You can just write it in on the registration. trot poles jumper course and canter poles jumping course!

There will be lunch available to purchase!!! Saturday will be sloppy joes, chips and drinks available. Sunday will be pizza from Poor Gary’s!!!

This last couple days, I have been working on getting legend more confident. He has been gaining confidence under saddle and doing much better about fly spray!! I introduced the water hose to spray him down with after our ride and he was very nervous about it. With more time I think he will not care. I have been working on getting him to trot. He isn’t willing to trot more the. 10 strides under saddle so far.

Legend is settling in nicely, he still gets nervous with the dogs and chickens. lol ( dogs are Great Danes). Today we worked on tying, brushing, picking up his feet, Bug spray… ( that one is scary), and checking out the indoor arena with some lunging and walking over some poles. He is such a good boy!!!

The last 3 weekends have been a rated dressage show, a red pine hunter jumper show and a NWDA schooling show. Roo has now strutted his stuff down center line for 2 weekend. With a high score of 67% for Training 3. I also took Arco in the hunter ring for the first time this weekend and down center line… he did great for his first time out! Both boys brought home some 1 sts, 2nds, and other placings for Arco.

Hello everyone,
I am responsible for Legend financially as long as he is in my care. My goal for him is to find his forever home. He hasn’t been in the best spots and after my 60 day training challenge he will hopefully go to an amazing home. In the mean time I am asking if there is anyone that would like to donate to the care ( ie…. Grain, farrier work, supplements ect) of legend! I will make sure people know of your donation to this boy.
He is pretty great! Thank you in advance. I put together a list of things on Amazon that he needs or if you want to help toward feed costs or farrier work please let me know. Thank you everyone for supporting me and legend!

Last night I picked up Legend, he is a 16 year old Arab gelding. We will be apart of Battle of the Best trainers. We have 60 days to work as a team and on Oct 3rd we will be showing off our skills at the competition. He will be for sale at the show!

It is Legend, he is the son of justify a stallion I got to work with at anoka equine. I am excited to see where this leads. I have a special spot in my heart for his dad. So now I get to work with his son!

Breed: Purebred Arabian (has paperwork to be registered)
Gender: Gelding
Height: 15.2hh
Age: 16

Legend is a sweetheart of a gelding that came in with Castaway and Kaleela. Like the others, he came from a very loving lady who needed help placing him. She was devoted to keeping all of the horses out of a bad situation so he was placed with us.

Prior to be taken in by this fabulous woman, he had his own history. When he was young, he had an injury to his growth plate and was thrown away by his old owner. Despite this injury, he recovered and it doesn't affect him at all.

Legend has been ridden, but only as a trail horse and only at the walk and trot. He has the potential to be a great reliable horse, so what he needs is more training and experience.

(More info on these horses will be made available on selection and pick-up day)
