Legend is a 16 yr old Arab that is in #battleofthebesttrainer competition. He is a very cuddly kid, he has learned to stand tied quietly or in cross ties, while being saddled, groomed and trimmed. He has willing to try new things but has sticky feet sometimes. He is not a speed event horse. So far he is more confident in groups than on his own. He is able to walk and trot with some help.
He also stands well for the farrier. #bbctlegend
I am so proud of Legend. #bbctlegend he unlocked his brain and his feet tonight!!! We got some good trotting in. He feels more comfortable doing smaller circles than the whole arena right now but that is ok. We also worked on trot poles and backing.
#bbctlegend update!
Legend has been doing ok. He is settled in and getting comfortable in the indoor arena even trotting some. We have been working on his confidence and I rode him outside for the first time yesterday. He trotted a small bit but got nervous again.
He is also working on showmanship, the plan is to expose him this weekend to a show environment in showmanship for sure and hopefully an under saddle class if he can get the courage to trot outside.
Unboxing of our ribbions for our show! Come hang out with us the 7 and 8th of Sept!
#bbctlegend
This last couple days, I have been working on getting legend more confident. He has been gaining confidence under saddle and doing much better about fly spray!! I introduced the water hose to spray him down with after our ride and he was very nervous about it. With more time I think he will not care. I have been working on getting him to trot. He isn’t willing to trot more the. 10 strides under saddle so far.
Hank update!!! He’s learning!!!
This is a big step for him!!!
Raven!!! She’s such a good girl!
