STAR could use donations for Matildas continuing medical care. Backyard breeder gave her and her brother away because they did not want to pay any medical expenses. Someone took the brother who passed away 2 days later from seizures. Matilda was infested with fleas to the point they were in her eyeballs, mange, covered in fly strike. At 7 weeks old weighing only 1 pound. Matilda will need several weeks of continuous monitoring by veterinary staff.

On Saturday the 6th we made a freedom run. We transferred 4 dogs to new homes. Each dog has a tragic story with a great outcome.
*Camden and Ripken were the only 2 survivors of 4 in the litter that suffered a massive hook worm infestation and chemical burns scarring them for life
*Zeus was 6 months old with an amazing personality despite being kicked and beaten daily
*Cici was found on a back country road with an incredible amount of ticks, starving and limping. X-ray showed she had 5 broken toes. She was treated by our volunteers and a wonderful network of vets.
