When it’s been such a long week that the week’s packages didn’t get labeled by Friday, so your boyfriend becomes your stand in employee (paid in love) on his day off help get them shipped out on Saturday 🥹🫶🏼

And yes, we use grocery carts to transport them from the car and into the post office 😂 Sent out about 45 packages today! Lots more custom orders were in progress this week, but many of them needed custom welding, and we’ve not been able to do much of that for a couple reasons— one of our team members tested positive with Covid at the beginning of the week, so I’ve had to pick up a ton more work to stay on track, and also because it’s been dreadfully hot this week and we weld them in the garage, which has terrible air circulation so it’s miserable out there and we can’t be in that heat for long🥵😭 I’ve been working like 12 hour shifts almost every day this week, someone send help 😂😅🫠

Orange Snoof Spotlight 🧡🔦🦁life.of.windsor and are living their best muzzled dog lives in orange! We love this cheery bright color, it definitely gets your attention in the best way🧡 Windsor is also in one of the largest Big Snoof muzzles out there; his big sweet St Bernard face needed lots of custom welding work to make a basket large enough for him to be comfortable!🫶🏼 Pico is in Standard size 28 🥰

Happy ! We’re starting a new little content series to help break some Muzzle Myths! This one is a reminder that many dogs who are muzzled aren’t a bite risk at all😮 There’s lots of reasons why people utilize muzzles! But remember, no matter the reason a dog wears a muzzle, Muzzled Dogs are Good Dogs 🩷 (and do please give them space in public unless otherwise invited!🙏🏻) Share this to help break down some Muzzle Myths!

For dogs who are scavengers—of p**p or otherwise— we do offer custom made snap-on vinyl scavenger guards for our muzzles! They can even have a treat hole added for easy training 🫶🏼 Feel free to message us for more info!

We've had so many gorgeous muzzles lately!🤩 Here's a bunch we shipped off recently; which one is your favorite? (Or your order lol!) I have a little obsession with the Barbie Shimmer/ Periwinkle muzzle😍 Sometimes it's so hard to send them off, particularly when they fit my dog perfectly lol! We can't wait to see them in their new homes!

Honesty time😬🫣 Sometimes we try our best… but still don’t get it quite right.😅 This sweetheart sure is cute in it, but her custom muzzle is unfortunately quite massive on her 😅 What to do? Ship it back, and we’ll remake it to perfection❤️‍🩹✨

There was some miscommunication regarding measurements here, which happens. The cheek bars are too long, and there’s quite a bit more pant room than needed. We were provided measurement photos for this pup, so we will cover the costs for adjustment since our very sweet client did her best to provide us with the info we needed to build her muzzle…but though we do our best, sometimes we still read inaccurate measurements on photos leading to situations like these. Having super kind, understanding and gracious clients who don’t make us feel more terrible than we already do when this happens really helps🥺🩷 We appreciate you so much!🥹💕

Some of you may not know this, but our team at Big Snoof is small! We are a little team of four, and our newest muzzler has only been working with us for a couple months now :) All custom muzzles are designed and made by only two of us, myself (Audrey, the owner) and my right hand man Shaylan (’s mom) , who nowadays takes the lead on custom muzzle design! One of these days we’ll do a full “Meet the Team” so you can learn more about what goes on behind the scenes here in Snoof World 😂🌈✨ In any case, please remember… we’re just a few humans doing our best to help a whole lot of people and dogs around the world, and we will make mistakes sometimes, but know that we will stand behind our work if we do. This is Warok the Portuguese Water Dog in his pretty new custom Big Snoof! According to his mom, “He’s doing great and adjusted to his new “treat basket” very well. Had a few of the dog experts in his life look at the fit and they agree it is good, and complemented how good it looked. 😊 Thank you very much for all your time and help!! Side note - we love the color and he is way more happy to have the pant room!“ We love getting to see dogs happy, safe and comfortable in our muzzles, and helping them be stylish is definitely the cherry on top 🍒✨🩵

We have the best community of customers!🥹
This sweet girl demonstrates an important thing to know when you get your dog’s new muzzle: Muzzles are meant to move around with gravity! 😆

When she tips her snout up into the air, the muzzle will slide down her snout, and rest on the tip of her nose. When she angles her head downwards, the muzzle will slide down the snout a tiny bit to allow for some space between the tip of her nose and the front inside of the muzzle.

Because of this movement, it’s important for the nose length of the muzzle to not be too long. If it is, it may push up into your dogs eyes when they angle their head up, which can both be uncomfortable for your dog and potentially irritating to their delicate eyes.

Ideally, when the muzzle sits naturally on the nose with her snout held straight, there should be about .25” or a little over 1/2cm between the tip of the nose and the front inside of the basket.

If the muzzle’s neck strap is too tight, the basket will not slide down the snout, and would be pushed into the snout uncomfortably, which could be harmful to your pup and definitely needs to be avoided!
If the muzzle’s neck strap is too loose, the basket will sit much further down the snout, may slip off the nose easily, and be quite wobbly.

That is not to say that our muzzles will not be wobbly; there is always some wobbliness when you put a wire muzzle on almost any dog, but if the straps are not tightened correctly, then it would be excessively unstable, and may be uncomfortable for your dog.

Another great way to reduce wobbliness and ensure security of your muzzle is to use a chin strap, which is very effective in keeping the muzzle from slipping off!

This week we had the pleasure of finishing up two very different custom welded muzzles: one is one of the biggest we’ve made so far, and the other is one of the smallest we’ve made.. though actually we have made some both bigger and smaller before, believe it or not!🤣 The giant muzzle pictured here is about 8.5” wide in the cheeks and 9” tall 🤯 and was made for a St Bernard. The tiny one is about 3” wide and 3” tall, with a 2” nose and was made for a tiny Jack Russell Terrier. Amazing that it is 3x the size, isn’t it?🤯 I can’t wait to see them on the dogs they were built for 🩷

I’m so happy to share our first official Frenchie muzzle with you! 🎉 This one was by far our most difficult brachycephalic muzzle yet, and it took many hours of precise work, so we are so thankful that the kind client who ordered it was patient with us while we figured it out! The wait was definitely worth it, because Oslo is looking so good in his new copper/caramel Big Snoof 🤩

Our brachycephalic muzzles are listed on our website, but we do not open the listing for purchase until we have verified measurements and determine for sure that this is something we will be able to do. New Snoofs!🩵 We’re introducing Sky Blue as a new Standard Muzzle color, and have just released 5 more standard sizes, bringing our Standard Muzzle range to 13 sizes! We’ve got lots more smaller and narrower sizes now available, and these start at only $70! Currently, turnaround for these is 1-2 weeks til shipment. Remember to measure carefully, feel free to reach out for help, and when determining your own size, please ‼️⚠️ be diligent and check every measurement listed—the two listed in the graphics are meant to help get you started in the right range, but we use SIX measurements to determine sizes, and your pup should be within all of the measurements listed in order to fit a size correctly! These are made to order and we’d much prefer to have you get it right the first time around 😉 Again, if you’re unsure, or have any questions, just shoot us a message 🩵

I had seen pictures and knew they were GORGEOUS muzzles, just for us! But when I say the pictures don’t do these muzzles justice I mean it! Side note: this is our second order with them and Audrey took a simple comment I made roughly 8 months ago when we received our first order and made sure to add some extra length to Apollo’s chin strap, I was baffled when I noticed this today! -the first one wasn’t too short but it was maxed out right away. My dogs wear the same size and are very similar as far as measurements go but Apollo has more floof and neck skin than Athena does. Seeing the fact that they took this into consideration just goes to show how much attention to detail they have and how much they truly care about getting the best fit for each dog. Apollo’s chin strap is a bit longer than Athena’s is, which is perfect!
