We ask for prayers for senior Izzy who will be 15 years old this April. Izzy went for her yearly physical and follow up, and her bloodwork showed concerns with her kidneys. So she was hospitalized, put on IV fluids, and her bloodwork will be rechecked in 48 hours. Izzy is still very alert, can be feisty & sassy so this was unexpected, concerning news.
It was discovered several years ago that she has a mass in her gallbladder, which is inoperable. She has been on 2 medications and doing really well. So they hope to get an ultrasound of her gallbladder to make sure the mass is not bigger as well as taking a look at her kidneys.
Izzy came to us in 2020 after her human mom died unexpectedly. She came to us already a senior at 10 years old, and with issues from a collapsing trachea. Through it all, Izzy has shown a love of life and spirit.
We know she is probably stressed being in the hospital and not in her bed tonight, so please keep Izzy in your prayers; that everything will be ok and she will get to go home in a few days to her long term foster mom.

Eevee is now up to date on her vaccines. Overall her bloodwork was good but her liver enzymes were slightly elevated so she will be monitored and a follow up in several months just to be sure everything is ok. Thankfully she is heartworm negative. She loves squeaky toys so she got a few new toys and a new bed that she loved IMMEDIATELY !!
We want to thank Katherine for stepping up as an emergency foster so we could get Eevee; and a huge thank you to Cassandra for stepping up as her interim foster mom. Eevee is a very intelligent girl. No accidents so far and already letting Cassandra know when she needs to go out to potty. She is becoming her foster mom's shadow and gets to hang out with Cassandra while she works from home. Eevee is settling in really well and catching up on her naps and cuddle time. 💖

Eevee needs a foster OR a foster-to-adopt home !! She will be 12 years old in July. Eevee is ADORABLE, loves leash walks, car rides, squeaky toys, playing fetch with her squeaky toys, and cuddling on the bed. She needs a quiet home and to be the only furbaby. This beautiful girl in true corgi style has such an expressive face...and talks to you with her eyes. She is an active 11 year old but also a cuddle bug ❤
Eevee is already spayed and will be heading to our vet this week to get up to date on her vaccines. Please contact 828-612-2951 if you would like to meet Eevee.

UPDATE !!!!! OWNER CALLED US, WENT TO AREA HE WAS SEEN TODAY, FOUND HIM AND HE IS NOW SAFE AND BACK HOME WITH HIS FAMILY !!!!!! HE HAS BEEN MISSING SINCE DEC 3RD !!!!!
NEW YEAR MIRACLE !!!! ❤❤❤

WE NEED A FOSTER ASAP !!!! This furbaby has been roaming a neighborhood for several weeks. We were informed that he was posted, AC called, and no owner found. Seems young, a little timid but friendly and good with other dog friendly dogs.
He needs to get to safety and out of these frigid temps. He is going up to cars begging to get in. HEARTBREAKING.

Approx weight 40 lbs. WE PROVIDE FOOD & ALL VET CARE for our fosters !!!
He appears to have an old injury near his shoulder and really needs to see a vet !!

LILY RAE is officially adopted !!!! From 6 lbs when she was rescued at 8 weeks old, to 54 lbs now at 11 mos old. Kristen & John stepped up as foster parents for Lily and the rest is history 💕 This beautiful girl LOVES her family so
much !! She has a huge fenced back yard to play with her canine brothers Benny and Winston, and in true lab style, loves finding sticks...lots of sticks !!!
Wishing John, Kristen, Lily, Bennie and Winston the happiest life ever !!!

We are so happy to post Kai is officially adopted !!! Now called "Copper Kai", he enjoys the love of his new family, loves to ride in HIS back seat of the truck, has a beautiful fenced in yard to run and play, and goes on hiking adventures with his family ! Happy Adoption to Copper, Tabatha & Cameron !!!!

We have been notified of an EMERGENCY !! This is 12 year old Shelly, a chihuahua mix approx 10 lbs, who needs to get to safety !!
Shelly needs a quiet foster home where she can decompress from the abuse and trauma she is currently in. No children and preferably someone retired or works from home, but will consider all options to get her to safety.
If you can foster her for our group please contact 828-612-2951 ASAP !!! This is a dire situation !!!!!

ZO had his follow up today with DR.CAMDEN ROUBEN, his cardiologist at Charlotte Animal Referral Emergency Hospital. An echocardigram was done and Zo got a GREAT report !!! The PDA is still closed and the ACDO is all healed inside. The left atria has also improved and not as enlarged.
We can begin slowly with more playtime and leash walks, and for now he doesn't have to take his heart medication.
Zo will go back to see Dr Rouben in six months. Another echocardigram will be done to see if the left atria has stayed the same, improved more, or has enlarged more. That will determine if Zo will have to start taking heart medication again. Hopefully it will be the same or improved and he can continue his life with no meds required.

We are SO GRATEFUL to CARE,
Dr. Rouben and Zo's anesthesiologist, Sydney Grant, for taking such wonderful care of Zo, for saving his life, and giving him the chance to live a normal full and healthy life !!!! ZO and his ABLAR family SEND A HEARTFELT THANK YOU ❤
