Thank you to Leatherman Lane for hosting my trailer loading clinic! It was HOT today but thankfully we started at 8am to beat a little heat. Everyone worked so hard and did amazing!!
We had 3 different style trailers set up and all horses were walked on and sent on to each trailer 🤗

About to return home from an amazing trip to Wyoming after helping Ken teach in his 3 week certification clinic! Celene and I met some incredible horsemen and women dedicated to learning and reaching their goals in horsemanship!
I am very blessed to be able to take this time for myself as well while continuing to learn, better myself and my business!

Saturday was a great day for lessons ! I started at 8am to beat the heat and had back to back lessons throughout the morning. I love working with these amazing women and seeing their weekly progress!!
I would also like to thank my helpers (Wyatt, Wall-E and Pumpkin) as they help me oversee my lessons and give moral support to my clients 🤣🥰

If you can’t tell, we love our pads too!

These are photos from my demonstration on Sunday at Saving Grace Farm for their fundraising event!!
I had a great time working with miss Cinnamon on the come to the mounting block cue. This teaches your horse not only to come to the mounting block, fence or any object you use to mount, but also teaches them not to move away from you while doing so. I’ve worked with Cinnamon before but not with this - and she’s one of those many horses that will move away from the mounting block when you are ready to get on and ride. So she ended up being the perfect candidate for my demonstration! All in all, it took her about 2 minutes to BEGIN understanding the concept, and about 5-10 minutes to consistently give me the correct answer.
Does she 100% know this exercise now? NO! She needs practice and repetition in order to fully understand the exercise, but she showed me how quickly she can learn through consistency in my ask.

Wyatt has had his lay down cue for awhile now. Luke has not been taught to lay down with a cue but he was calm enough to choose to do so during this video!

During my lessons, Duchess decided she’d been waiting around for awhile so figured she should lay down to take a rest😴 Although lessons were going on, people and other horses were moving about, the energy around us was very relaxed...so I knew Wyatt wasn’t far behind. I removed his saddle, asked him to lay down and with no hesitation he ‘dropped’ and had a roll😆 I love that my horses feel so comfortable, relaxed and happy even when many things are going on around them #horsetraining #ridinglessons #relaxation #horsesofinstagram

Last year I was fortunate enough to be able to attend my second 3 week clinic with Ken McNabb in order to earn my Journeyman trainer certification. This is Zeus and I two weeks into the clinic, working on anchoring his pivot foot and keeping his hindquarters stationary.
