Easter Festival at the Farm

We are still going until 2pm today! Horse rides carriage rides games petting zoo

If you are an adult and worried about starting your riding career later in life, this awesome lady should give you some great inspiration. She started riding with me toward the end of last year. Yes we struggled with fitness and yes there were some trying days finding her balance and rhythm but today we worked on bending and some basic dressage work and she's really starting to get a feel of her horse. It's never too late to learn! We all want to feel like we've accomplished something every lesson but sometimes the steps are so small. It's like learning an instrument. You learn the notes and positions, then a few lines of a song each time you practice and then one day you can play an entire song from beginning to end. We are challenged in our sport because we don't have a horse to take home and practice each night in our living room, so my advice to those with less access is to just come to the barn as much as you can. Even if you aren't riding. Help with turnout, groom one of the older horses, just be there and the riding skills will come when they come.
