Joey practicing his ninja bow skills on one of his daily long walks along the ridge, 2100ft above sea level, living his best life. He's a nut and goes crazy for sticks. The hurricane debris has left him a veritable Walmart of sticks to choose from and play with along the road. When the FEMA debris crews finally make it up here he will still have the sticks in the woods along the trail we walk. But he really likes to shop for that perfect stick along the road on each walk.
Joey the stick fighter!
Anyone remember Joey??
Joey loves the Mountain Area Canine Rescue home life.
He's living his best life.
Two of our rescues, Ramona (Mo-Mo) and Daisy June (DJ) in the two 100'x50' lots. They are getting acclimated because Ramona tends to not be a social dog, but that seems like it's going to change.
We are in the middle of building a kennel on one side so there's construction stuff everywhere. But that doesn't stop DJ because she loves to be a part of whatever is going on.
I am welcoming our foster, Roxie, to Mountain Area Canine Rescue . She was very skittish when I first met her and is very hesitant to trust. If I understand her story right she was an owner surrender and had been with him her whole life so I'm not anyone this dog has ever met and gaining her trust is just part of the process. She's getting a full circle of sniff in before she goes to her kennel and has already decided to mark the mountain in her own special way, lol!
Second video in the comments!
Shelter dogs make the best friends!!#30minutesfromdeathrow Joeyyyyyyyy ❤️❤️
Even though we're on a mountain top (2000 ft above sea level) we have plenty of activities for all the dogs!
Summer fun cannot be had without a proper puppy pool!
