This Veteran’s Day was a very special day we had our official ribbon cutting. We celebrated with so many close community members. Our Learning Center is now over a 1100 sq feet and the Community Honey Processing Center just needs an epoxy floor and a few stainless steel working tables and it will be complete. I can not thank, Fannin County Chamber, Benchmark Construction, Stacey Roofing and all of the wonderful people who attended for making it a special day. Bee well, Tim

We are closed today to celebrate the brave men and women who have served our nation. On Veterans' Day, AgGeorgia Farm Credit extends a heartfelt thank you to these proud vets. As veterans transition to civilian life, many of them choose ag. We are proud to have helped many veterans begin their second careers as farmers, and we're equally proud to support many veteran-focused ag organizations such as HERO Agriculture, Doc's Healing Hives and Honey Foundation, and Comfort Farms.
While is only once a year, we appreciate our military every day. To show our appreciation year-round, AgGeorgia waives application fees and origination fees up to $1,500 for any members who show valid proof of or Active-Duty U.S. service.

🇺🇸Today we celebrate our Nation’s Veterans with our incredible community and patrons. Every six months we support a different charity by giving $0.25 of every pint sold in our taproom to an organization that supports veterans and/or first responders.

We are proud to present a check for $14,233 to a remarkable local charity that has made a difference in the lives of Veterans in a neighborhood just a couple miles down the road from our brewery.

The Cove at Dundee is a tiny home community in Savannah, GA for Veterans exiting homelessness. Developed by the Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless, this neighborhood is the first to be approved in Georgia. Residents achieve self-sufficiency and more than 100 veterans have remained stably housed. Residents transition to fair-market rentals, purchase homes, transportation, gain employment, and achieve educational advancement.
With access to case management, a medical clinic, laundry facilities, community centers, a garden and chapel, The Cove is a neighborhood creating hope and nurturing growth. A sincere thank you for all do🇺🇸

The first 20 of 60 hives to be going to be donated to WNC to help the beekeepers that lost everything.
These are 5 frame hives composed of screen bottom board, 1deep with assembled frames and wax foundation, 1 medium with assembled frames with wax foundations, hive top feeder, ventilated inner cover and migratory tops.

If you have had bees for less than 8 years, less than 10 hives and have lost all your hives, please call Triad Bee Supply at 336-475-5137 to get one or two of these hives. I’m trying to get some people to donate bees also.

Well, I posted this on the The Blue Ridge 411 and it got taken, down go figure. Please read the post below if you live in Fannin County it is a great opportunity to support Georgia Farmers and Folks that are food insecure.

I support Feed Fannin and received this email because I am on their email list. This is a great way to support Georgia Farmers, Folks that are food insecure and the Fannin County 4-H. You can buy a box of fresh vegetables for yourself and donate a box that will be given to Family Connections. I just bought one for us and donated one. I hope others will consider doing the same.

Fannin County 4-H will be participating in the Georgia 4-H Front Door Produce Fundraiser which will deliver a fresh box of produce to counties the week before Thanksgiving. The “Green Box” includes 20 lbs. of fresh Georgia Grown produce, priced at $30. For each box sold, $9 is returned to the County 4-H Office, and the Georgia 4-H Foundation receives $1. The produce box is packed in Moultrie, GA. The box can include: Bell Pepper, Cucumbers, Yellow Squash, Zucchini, Green Beans, Corn, Cabbage and Satsumas. When you purchase a box there is an option to donate a box. All donated boxes will be given to Family Connections.
The funds raised goes towards Fannin 4-H youth programming and state events such as camp. The pickup date scheduled is November 20th. We will be in contact with everyone who purchases if anything changes with this date.

Last night I had the honor of collaborating with George and Lauren the owners of 4 Elements Art Studio and Fannin County’s Young Professionals. I spoke about Doc’s mission of helping veterans heal, the importance of collaboration and the impact anyone can have on their community. We love Fannin and truly enjoyed the evening.
We are looking forward to working with George and Lauren in creating some bee art!
