With duck season coming upon us, I would like to take this time to go over a few things.

First of all, I want everyone, my present and future customers, to know that I truly appreciate you trusting me to create your waterfowl masterpiece. I realize there are many taxidermists out there these days, so I am grateful you chose me. With that being said, I am a mother, and a wife, and daughter, first. I also hold a full time position with Butler county EMS. My family will always come before either job, and my full time job will come in front of taxidermy. I will do my best to get your mounts to you as timely as possible.

As of NOVEMBER 1, 2022, a 50% NON REFUNDABLE deposit will be required at the time of drop off. The process of your mount will not begin until deposit is made. (Unless other arrangements have been previously discussed)

All mounts are priced on a standard driftwood base. If you want a habitat type base, you will pay the additional price of the base + shipping

Bird taxidermy is a fine art. Anything is “mountable” however, some birds may be shot beyond repair. Once I thaw your bird, and inspect it, if I feel that it will not be a quality mount, you will be contacted to discuss other options. Please note, if I contact you regarding this, it is not bc I do not want to do the mount, it is simply bc it will not meet the standard I am trying to uphold. If I would not be happy displaying it in my own home/office, I don’t want it in yours.

Again, I look forward to creating your waterfowl mounts. Happy Hunting to all!

One of the coolest turkey mounts I have ever seen. A framed feather, wing and tail mount.

Just got these finished up for a customer.

I began my career in taxidermy in 2013, working for my dad, Jim, Jim's New Life Taxidermy. During my time there, I was able to learn various skills of the trade, including skinning, tanning, mounting and finishing processes for various species. Along the way, I took a greater interest in the art of waterfowl taxidermy. My dad and I was able to travel to Minnesota, and train under 2 time world champion for waterfowl, Jerry Freolich, of Flyway Taxidermy.

In 2018, I accepted a full time position with Butler County EMS, and continued to work in taxidermy part time. In 2019, I took a break from taxidermy to further my calling in Emergency Services. Although I love my job in EMS, I have felt as if something is missing. I have a passion for the art of taxidermy, specifically waterfowl. With the support of my husband, friends/family, Cane Ridge Waterfowl Creations will now be open for business! Please Like and Follow this page for updates!
