Let's answer some common questions we get since opening the doors to our spay/neuter clinic.
The animal shelter is located on 463 Boat Factory Road in Morgantown, KY.
The spay/neuter clinic is located at 412 Industrial Drive North in Morgantown, KY.
This spay/neuter clinic (blue building) is meant to serve as our surgery center. This is where we do spays/neuters, wellness appointments, and nail trims.
Friends of Butler County Animals purchased this land (5-6 acres) off of Industrial Drive North to build our Butler County Animal Welfare Campus. The proposed name of the animal welfare campus is B-CAWS (Butler County Animal Wellness Shelter) B-CAWS every life matters! The animal welfare campus will have the spay/neuter clinic (✅), a new animal sheltering facility that meets the Association of Shelter Veterinarians' Standards of Care, and a community center where we can focus on education and community outreach such as A Pet Start Program, Summer Kindness Camp, Vet Med Program, ect.
It took everything we had (and a little more) to build our spay/neuter clinic. We currently do not have the funding or support to build the new animal sheltering facility. We hope that through hard work and dedication we will complete our animal welfare campus and provide resources for all in Kentucky one day.
