Indiana spay neuter transport dates and locations for January 2025. To schedule your cat or dog for a surgery, please call our transport line at 317-675-0072 and leave a message. You can also visit our website at www.lowcostspayneuterindiana.org to complete an online submission form to start the appointment process. We do not transport for vaccines only; however, vaccinations can be done at the same time as a spay, neuter, or dental. We do not require an appointment for feral cats; therefore, you can bring up to 2 feral cats per day per person. Please keep in mind that for some transports we are booking out several months. Also, some locations have been temporarily postponed and some check-in or return times have changed. We look forward to caring for your pets!

Meet Franklin🐾❤

Frankie is a 5-year-old British Shepard and Great Dane mix. He is dog, kid, and cat friendly. He even knows sit and shake! Frankie is a very loving dog but can take a few minutes to warm up to new people. Franklin needs a home where someone is home all the time. He has extreme anxiety and becomes destructive when he is left alone. If he does need to be crated, he would need a heavy-duty square tubing kennel.

Call us at 219-285-2187 or message the page to come meet him!!😃

Bubbles, Boss, and Bon are still looking for their furever homes.

Bubbles is a shy girl, but she has really come out of her shell. She loves attention now and will come up to us and ask for some pets. She has come a such long way here and we know she will flourish in a loving home.

Boss is around 7 and is an attention hog. He loves when you scratch his head and tell him he's the handsomest out of all the cats🤣
Shelter life has been stressful for him and its starting to affect his health.

Bon is still a baby, at about a year and a half. They way to his heart is treats..and toys.. and snuggles. OK its really not hard to make Bon fall for you. With his funny antics and sweet personality, he'll worm right into your heart too.

If you are interested in any of the animals, please message us on our page or call us at 219-285-2187

🎶I want a hippopotamus for Christmas🎶

Well, it's not too late. Meet Andy. This big boy is estimated to be about 4 years old. His heart is bigger than his body...which is pretty big. He loves to get butt scratches and frog out on the floor next to you.

If you are interested in meeting Andy, or any of his other friends here at the shelter, please call or message us.

Our Story

The Newton County Animal Shelter works with Newton County Animal Control. After a five day holding period all animals brought in as strays by Newton County Animal Control will be placed up for adoption or rescue on this page. Adoption through the Newton County Animal Shelter is a simple process and is free, donations are appreciated. Upon adopting an animal the adopter has 30 days to have the animal seen by a vet and have that animal spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated. If you fail to do this it is a $200 fine. We are dedicated to finding the animals of Newton county loving homes and a good quality of life.
