At Morris Plains Animal Hospital, we realize that your pet is a beloved family member. We strive to provide high quality medical care, while maintaining a friendly and personal atmosphere. Our doctors make every effort to be available to answer questions regarding your pet's health care. Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions or concerns. If a doctor is not available when you cal

l, we will return your call as rapidly as possible. Emergency service is provided for after-hour problems, including weekends and holidays, by calling the regular clinic number. Our answering service will contact the veterinarian on call. In rare circumstances when we cannot provide an after-hour response, you will be provided with a number for a service we recommend. Boarding facilities are available for dogs, cats, birds, and exotics. All kennels are climate controlled. Dogs are exercised in individual runs twice daily. Cats have their own boarding room with accommodations including various size cages, as well as condos upon request. Birds and exotics are boarded in their own room as well. Please call in advance so that we may reserve your dates. Boarders may be dropped off during normal office hours. Evidence of compliance with the associations standards is determined by periodic on-site evaluations by aaha inspectors. Less than 14% of the small animal veterinary facilities in the U.S. Hospital membership signifies a commitment to excellence and is only available to those veterinary hospitals that subscribe and meet the high standards for medical practice established by aaha. We are usda accredited, a recipient of the Super Service Award on Angie's List, and maintain an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. We also offer grooming services several days a week. We provide drug-free, full service dog grooming, bathing, nail trimmings, teeth brushing, and ear cleaning, and more. We are able to groom your pet while boarding as well. If you would like to learn more, or schedule a grooming appointment, please call our office during our normal hours and we will be happy to discuss this with you. In addition to being a full service hospital, boarding, and grooming facility, we are very proud to be a non-profit wildlife rescue center. We take in many kinds of wildlife. We then care, and treat them as needed. Once they are strong enough, we transport them to one of the rehabilitation centers we work with, where they can continue to grow stronger and more self sufficient in hopes that they will then be released back into the wild. July is Lost Pet Prevention Month! Shelters and rescues have an influx of stray pets enter their facilities in July, many of whom have run off during fireworks or storms. Ensure your pet is reunited with you, with a microchip. Unlike collars, this is a permanent identification that cannot fall off of your pet. It is important to keep your contact information up to date with your microchip company. Call us today at 973-366-3223 today for more information!

Always remember to pack extra water and a travel bowl for your pets when adventuring outdoors this summer! Even when dogs are swimming, the can still be at risk for dehydration or heat related illness. Contact your veterinarian if your pet has fallen ill after spending time outdoors. #vcaspets
