"Meet Gigi! She was found abandoned in a park in the Bronx, NY and all she really wants is a family to call her own that makes her feel warm and loved. She's the MOST cuddly and loves her humans passionately. She also loves romping around with other dogs and just generally being outside. She's had a tough road and is still young and very much learning, so if you have the patience and a little bit of experience she would love to show you how quickly she can fulfill her potential. She walks very well on a leash but is unsure of other dogs, and some people, while on the leash. But she's learning to trust! She would do best in a home with no small children but a sibling dog would be great! She is a very quick learner and just wants to make you happy. She's READY to melt your heart in her new home and she can't wait to meet you.

The joy of reuniting with two of our alumni, along with their mom, never fails to brighten our day and remind us of the profound impact our work has on the lives of these incredible dogs.
Sweet Macy and Axl had the generous thought of coming with their mom Melissa and to bring blankets for their dog friends so…. we also got the chance of seeing them again!

Hello friends, may the warmth within us keep us safe on the chilliest of days!
Suruluna's remarkable 2024 journey, marked by 20 adoptions and 3 new long-term dogs finding refuge in our haven, is an example of collective effort.
We're deeply grateful for your unwavering support, which has been our pillar of strength. Our incredible volunteers, monthly sponsors, and Friends of Suruluna group, have been helping our dogs with love, treats, blankets, and generous donations throughout the year! Your kindness in sending Christmas gifts to our canine friends has touched our hearts.

There is no better way to start this 2025 than announcing the adoption of one of our babies here!
Little Popcorn had the lucky chance to go home right before Xmas and the family who took her… well they just adore her! ♥️♥️ She is super happy and getting spoiled!
Thanks to them this little girl is having the life that she craved for and that she deserves. Even better she also has 2 older brothers to play with!
