Providing an off leash adventure camp service for social, well behaved pups in Morrisville, VT and surrounding areas. Dog camp is not suitable for all dogs.

We plan to keep our pack small so we focus on each dog as an individual and help them become the best adventure buddy you could hope for! At camp your dog can learn valuable skills to help them cope with real life distractions and high arousal situations. Camp provides an excellent source of physical exercise while pairing it with the often over looked and just as important mental stimulation by r

einforcing recalls, sit/stays, pack walks, etc. Your dog will need to be able to ride in the car with multiple other dogs and have the foundations of a reliable recall. If you think your dog may be a good fit, or just want to learn more please send us an email! We can't wait to hear from you and enhance both you and your dogs lives.

I’m not a big celebrator, but August is a big month for us! The beginning of the month marks 3 years of running dog camp (holy cow!) and the end of the month marks our first full year on the camp land! Big thanks to everyone who has supported me in this journey - from the dog owners to the people who follow us and spread the word, none of it goes unnoticed and I am so grateful and thankful to be where I am today.

Lily Bean is slowly making progress out at camp! She is a rescue who has bonded very strongly with her human mom and still hasn’t fully come out of her shell at camp. Today she was mingling more and taking food with the other dogs right next to her which she has not done previously so I know we are making progress! Some dogs need more time and as long as it’s safe I am so down to work with them.

Can you spot a familiar face in our group pic??? It’s Norma! Her human and I decided to try her out at camp again since she was doing so well before her little impromptu solo camping trip. She has a gps tracker attached to her collar now and we are going back to basics with the long line.
I don’t think I shared it publicly, but a friend of a friend is an animal communicator and said bear spirits had scared Norma away from camp because I hadn’t properly honored them. I won’t go into all the details, but I do think about bears so much at the camp land, and we had seen one only a few weeks prior, plus the look of fear in Norma’s eyes before I lost sight of her was something I can’t explain. Do I 100% believe? I don’t know. I think I’ll always have a bit of skepticism but I do believe humans have lost a lot of their natural and instinctual connections with the land and creatures due to the way we live our lives. The day after losing Norma I spoke to the bears and tried to reassure them that I was not there to hurt them, that I loved them (truly I love bears and think they are amazing) and I let them know my number one goal at camp is to keep both the dogs and wildlife safe from one another. So for now we are giving Norma a second chance and I can’t lie, it was so nice having her back out with us.

We have news!!! When I started Misty Mountain Mutts nearly 3 years ago one of my goals was to be able to support myself working 4 days a week. At the beginning of 2023 I decided to add a 5th day to increase income while I continued my search for private land. Now that we have a wonderful camp spot I will be going back down to 4 days. The Monday pack has naturally dwindled in size and it feels like the right time. So today was our last Monday. I currently have 5 spots left to fill and then camp will be FULL!! I am hoping to use Mondays as a make up camp day for cancelations and for solo adventures as needed for current camp members. If you are interested in camp fill out an application asap! Once spots are full you’ll have to wait for someone to drop out. As always, thank you for all the trust and support over the last three years. I wouldn’t be here without my wonderful campers and their humans 💚
