Hi, I’m Amber—a super sweet, playful, and athletic girl who will steal your heart (and maybe your bed 😉). I was transferred from a rescue partner, and now I’m on the hunt for my forever home!

I’m a natural entertainer—just wait until you see me get the zoomies!
I LOVE to play! My favourite toys are:

• Curly spring toys
• My trusty stick toy (I’ll even bring it to you when I’m ready to play!)

🌟 Thank You for Making a Difference! 🌟

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who supported NCAL’s Giving Tuesday campaign! Your generosity provided vital funds to support our mission—and made incredible stories like Neely’s possible.

We’re thrilled to share some heartwarming news about Neely, one of the cats featured in our Tails of Impact stories.

🐾 Neely’s Journey:

Neely’s original owner saw her story while spending Thanksgiving with family. He had been watching and hoping she’d find a home, and when his sister saw the post, everything changed. She had recently purchased her own home and was in a position to adopt Neely!

Today, Neely said goodbye to her foster family and hello to her new forever home—with her “auntie” who already loved her! Neely’s original owner, who rescued her as a kitten from the side of the road, will stay a part of her life, visiting her often.

While it was bittersweet for Neely’s foster family to say goodbye, they are overjoyed knowing she will spend the rest of her days with someone she knows and loves.

This reunion was made possible by YOU! ❤️ Your support—providing foster homes, cat food, toys, litter, and funds for essential medical care—helped Neely blossom and find her happy ending.

From all of us at NCAL, thank you for creating a future full of love and hope for animals like Neely.

Good luck, Neely! We’ll miss you, but we know you’re right where you’re meant to be. 💕

Exciting things are happening at NCAL! As we plan to build a brand-new community cat room to better serve our feline friends and adopters, we’re also investing in our incredible team.

This week, some of our colleagues were in Detroit attending the Cat Pawsitive 360 Conference at Michigan Humane with none other than Jackson Galaxy (aka The Cat Daddy)! Jackson Galaxy is a renowned cat behaviorist and former host of My Cat from Hell on Animal Planet, and this conference is all about learning best practices in feline care, behavior, and enrichment.

At North Country Animal League, we believe in continuous growth and innovation. Whether it’s earning important certifications, staying updated on the latest animal welfare trends, or learning directly from leaders in the field, we are committed to being the best shelter we can be. 💙

She is always ready to jump in and help our most vulnerable animals. These kittens were surrendered to us after their mother was sadly hit by a car. We knew that we could count on Sarah to step up and give these kitties the care they need to grow and thrive. Thank you for everything you do, and all the kittens you have helped this year!
