Did you know that just one unspayed female cat and her offspring can produce over 370,000 kittens in seven years? 🐱💔 The impact of spay/neuter programs is massive—just ask Luna!

Luna came to NCAL as a stray, pregnant and struggling. Thanks to our spay/neuter program, she safely delivered her kittens, who all found loving homes. And now, Luna gets to enjoy a carefree, healthy life—no more unexpected litters or health risks.

Spaying and neutering prevents overcrowding in shelters, reduces pet homelessness, and even improves pets' health and behavior.
✨ Have you spayed/neutered your pet? Share your experience in the comments! Let’s spread the word and save more lives!

al love. 🐶🐱💙
Maybe your dog has taught you patience (especially when they take forever to find the perfect bathroom spot). Maybe your cat has shown you the value of independence (and the art of napping anywhere). Or maybe your rescue pet has reminded you what resilience and second chances truly mean.

💬 Tell us in the comments: What’s the biggest lesson your pet has taught you? We’d love to hear your stories! 🐾✨

📸 Bonus: Drop a photo of your wise, furry teacher!

Did you know? Every year, more than 3,000 animals enter shelters across Vermont, looking for a second chance at life. 🏡💙
At NCAL, we work to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome hundreds of animals each year. But we can’t do it alone. Adopt. Foster. Donate. Together, we can reduce animal homelessness in our state. 🐶🐱
