Our sweet girl Pearl got a spa and picture day today! We are very excited at Across the Pond to welcome our first foal… won’t be long now!!!!

Whew! We have been stocking up on beautiful orchard grass! 6 loads done, 2 to go! 180 bales/load! Many thanks to all the helpers we have had! Look at one of our smallest farm hands, the bales weigh more than she does! Hay courtesy of Anthony Topmiller, Pleasant Plain. Always beautiful and w**d free!

My sweet beauty Northern Lights Essence of Pearl (Brackenhill Imperial Blue x The Cosmic Force) has been checked in foal to San Cler Celtic Warrior of Horner’s Gypsy Vanners. While owned by Theresa Horner she produced three gorgeous babies (one up and coming stud prospect by Segway and 2 others who are still growing out by Warrior). We can’t wait to have one of our own at Across the Pond… July 2024!!!

I’m in Halfie Heaven 😍 Augustus “Gus” joined the farm about a month ago (pictured with fly boots) and Alfie joined us yesterday! They have quickly become friends!

Not a lot of ribbons won, but confidence was gained and Ivy had so much fun!!!!! Looking forward to doing it again soon at the Gypsy show in a month!!!!

Projects this week:
1. We decided the base of the arena needed leveled so all of the sand was pushed back and the arena was properly leveled with limestone screening, then the footing will be spread back out.
2. All pastures including our large front pasture are complete and usable. The horses love all the new space and grass!
3. The indoor arena stalls are getting windows for more ventilation and our tack room/viewing area in the arena is getting completed!
Next up- electric in the new barn!
