Killer weekend followed by a crazy Monday!

We were so busy over the weekend that we were pretty well wiped out of saltwater fish.. luckily we just landed another EIGHTEEN BOXES OF SW FISH today!

Some pretty crazy new additions.. just wait until you see the insanely bright yellow hawaiian dwarf moray eel that came in!
. oh yea... I'm serious 😏
Must be a solid DECADE since I've gotten ahold of one of these! Even when they were widely available, I have NEVER seen one like THIS! ðŸ˜ģðŸ˜ą

We'll post some highlight pics tomorrow. From hard to find cowry and conch species to sharks, broomtail wrasses, some rare angelfish, and so much more- per usual, we didn't hold back!

This is a cool video! If you have ever wondered exactly what is going on when you frag a coral, well here you go!

This is a freshly cut montipora frag, at 600x - 1200x total magnification, illuminated using epi-fluorescent and transmitted light sources. You are able to clearly see the algal symbionts purging as well as the messenterial tissues hard at work 'sterilizing' the wound. I think views like this do a great job illustrating how corals are very much living animals rather than just the thin layers of various slimes and goos that we have the habit of perceiving them as.
