Why our hearts break in rescue every day and why we beg and plead for you to spay and neuter your pets and vaccinate. This poor dog was picked up by a rural animal control, matted and thin, estimated to be less than a year old. Yesterday was supposed to be his freedom ride to TAPS. He was pulled from transport at last minute due to suspected Parvo. He declined quickly, his already weak body couldn’t fight. Run free sweet boy, I’m sorry we didn’t get a chance to show you what life could really be like.

A spay, a neuter, a vaccine, a responsible owner, any of those things could have prevented this outcome. I’m sorry you were failed beautiful boy .

Pearl did not get the memo that she is not the Easter Bunny....and that Easter is over. We talked to her but she said if this family dog doesn't work out, she's working on her Easter Bunny audition for next year. Beautiful Pearl is 3 months old, is mostly white with some slight black spotting on her ear. She is sweet and playful and ready for her forever family. Pearl was born at TAPS and her mother is a mixed breed dog and dad is unknown. Mom weighs in at 45 pounds. She may have pointer, pitbull, bulldog or any other mixture of all around good dog genes.

Asking for prayers for our dear friends. They have three pups and one one of them passed away this morning. They have no idea what they could have gotten into. Prayers for Evie and Lily. May their vet be able to save these sweet girls 🙏
