It has recently come to our attention that Tazewell County Animal Control has begun issuing citations for pets that are not registered for their Rabies tag within ten days of vaccination. Information about this specific county ordinance is not included on the blue paper outlining Rabies Tag procedures, which Animal Control has provided for us to send with you when your pet is vaccinated.
Please make sure you are submitting paperwork with check payment via USPS, or with cash or credit card by stopping in to the Animal Control office during their open hours.
If you would prefer to register your pet and get your Rabies tag while at our office at the time of their vaccination, please bring a separate check made out to Tazewell County Animal Control.
Current registration fees for a spayed or neutered pet are $16 for a one year vaccination or $42 for a three year vaccination. Current registration fees for an intact pet over one year old are $33 for a one year vaccination or $75 for a three year vaccination.
