**Key Responsibilities:**
✨ Greet and assist clients and their furry companions

We've had some questions about the differences between our 2 facilities. We offer the same great care at both locations, but offer much different services at each. Pine Lake DDC is a 100% social pack environment, whereas, Pine Lake Kennel is more suited for less socialized pups or dogs that need more one-on-one time. Pine Lake Kennel is also suited for very socialized dogs! We offer daycare services that tailor to both solo players or group play pups. Our open concept boarding is for dogs 25 # and under and offers a "no-kennel" boarding option to the little social butterflies. There is a couch and ample space for the dogs to do their own thing all day. Yesterday at our Morton Business Network (MBN) meeting, I brought up the idea that dogs resemble their owners. I watch 100s of dogs a week and I always find it amusing what breeds people choose and how they often carry the same personality traits, eyes or demeanor as their owners. I received some funny looks and comments, which was comical. One being from Nathan, who has a Cairn Terrier, says my dog is short, overweight, scruffy and lazy… what’s that say about me? I said, it’s not every dog/owner, but the demeanor and the scruff matched him.

After looking in to it for my fellow business owners that were curious of the notion, it is a common belief, and some studies suggest there might be some truth to it.

Research has indicated that people often choose dogs that share physical traits with themselves, such as similar eyes or facial expressions. This could be due to a psychological phenomenon known as the "mere exposure effect," where individuals prefer things that are familiar or resemble them in some way.

Additionally, over time, the behavior and mannerisms of dogs and their owners can become more aligned, which might enhance the perception that they look alike. However, it's important to note that this resemblance is more about subjective perception than a concrete, universally observable fact.

🔹 About: Victoria joined our team in 2017 as our first employee. She has and continues to be a hard worker and driving force behind our diverse groups of dogs at our Morton facility. She is so patient and loving with each and every dog that comes into our facility. She has a beautiful gift with animals and a true knack for easing them regardless of their timidness, aggression or anxiety. You will likely see her smiling face Monday-Friday 7a-4p and Saturdays for playtime!

🔹 Fun Facts:
Victoria loves to get her hands dirty, is always the first one to volunteer to join my crazy ideas and is wise beyond her years! She enjoys cooking, baking, podcasts, the Bible & taking her dogs on many adventures!

"It's all for the dogs. I would do this job and not get paid… that’s how much I enjoy coming to work. I take great pride in caring for the dogs that come to us day in and day out. Their happiness is my happiness."

We are a dedicated and passionate doggy daycare, boarding and grooming facility that prioritizes the health, happiness, and well-being of all dogs in our care. We provide a safe and clean environment for our furry guests and are looking for a hardworking and reliable individual to join our team as a facility cleaner & playtime supervisor.

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented individual to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our kennel facility. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize kennels, dog runs, and common areas.
- Ensure all dog living spaces are free of waste and debris.
- Provide fresh water and clean bedding for the dogs.
- Assist with general maintenance and cleanliness of the facility.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols.
-Step in where needed in weekly daycare/boarding schedule.

Sunday funday! Our first business meeting for Pine Lake Dog Boarding & Pine Lake Doggy Daycare & Development Center in the books! Our team has been working hard on all aspects! Most of you know our pack members:) left to right:

-Mackenzie- a passionate animal lover and a beautiful young lady who started working for me in June 2023. She’s a hard worker that’s willing to tackle anything I throw at her 🙂. She has worked in veterinary clinics and is very intuitive with animals. She covers the daycare Tuesday, Thursday and weekend boarders at Pine Lake Doggy Daycare in Washington.

-Victoria- what’s not to say about this lady! She’s been with me since 2018 and started as a volunteer for a year, part time and now full time plus babysitting, house flipper, estate house cleaning extravaganzer! I’ve never met someone that loves dogs as much as I do, but I think I’ve met my match. Not only does she always go above and beyond, does what I need done without having to ask, doesn’t mind getting dirty, but she is the most beautiful person inside and out. ♥️. Victoria covers Pine Lake Dog Boarding and Daycare in Morton Monday-Friday and comes in on her days off to play with the pups.

-Grace- a bubbly animal loving soul and amazing young lady who began working for me in June 2023. She’s very ambitious and great with animals of all temperaments. With years of experience in the dog world, there’s nothing she’s not prepared for. Grace covers Monday, Wednesday and Friday as well as weekend boarders at Pine Lake Doggy Daycare in Washington.

-Me 🙂. The girl that’s allergic to ALL animals that refused to let that stop me from my god given passion for animals. 19 years of experience in pet boarding, zoo keeping and a vast amount of other career paths that prepared me for this venture.

-Luke- the calm to my storm, the “fix it” man. No matter what the day looks like, he handles it with ease and makes it happen. A true partner in work and personal life. It’s amazing how having someone like Luke in my life has changed everything for the better. Love this man so much. ♥️♥️

Today’s meeting was supposed to be 30 minutes and next this we knew, 1.5 hours flew by… a year’s worth of events & plans on the calendar and more inventive ideas to keep the businesses fresh and constantly evolving to serve our community of amazing pet owners.

We are also excited to collaborate more with Calvin Farmer Jr. & Jazzigen Haus K9 to plan day camp (daycare w/ training), fitness classes taught by yours truly ☺️ while training your pups at the same time, bootcamps, etc.
