Oh, sweet Alfred! Alfred came to us from Alpine Animal Hospital, who knew he needed some extra TLC after they suspected a foreign body. With our hospital staffed around the clock, we were ready to jump in and help. Turns out, Alfred had a quite a large toy stuck in his GI tract – RIP to that toy! Thankfully, our skilled team was able to remove it just in time. After surgery, Alfred was showered with love and attention from our staff. We're happy to share that he's now recovering at home, and we hear he’ll be choosing tougher toys in the future!

If your pet ever needs emergent or critical care, rest assured, we are here for you! Our facility is located at 212 Rodeo Dr. Ste 510 in Moscow, ID (just past Moscow Building Supply).

Meet the team of Moscow Viking Veterinary Hospital!

Today, we'd like to introduce you to Niah, one of our dedicated Veterinary Assistants! Born and raised in Idaho, Niah brings local roots and a love for animals to her role as a veterinary assistant at Viking Veterinary Hospital. Her passion for veterinary medicine shines through in her enthusiasm for our fast-paced environment and commitment to providing care when it matters most.

Niah's dedication to animals extends well beyond our hospital walls. When she's not helping our patients, you'll find her studying as a pre veterinary student or in the saddle of one of her two horses, Reno and Molly, moving cattle or hitting the trails. During summer months, she's often on the road competing at various horse events. Her four-legged family also includes two devoted dogs, Cooper and Callie, who join in her outdoor adventures.

A true advocate for exceptional patient care, Niah's energy and dedication make her a valuable member of our Viking Veterinary Hospital team!

A HUGE round of applause for this incredible fighter, Teddy! He came to us with Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (GDV), also known as bloat, which is a very serious, time sensitive, and life threatening condition. Our staff quickly got Teddy into surgery and Dr. Paul and Dr. Permenter were able to get him onto the path to recovery. Teddy’s family were incredibly dedicated, visiting him regularly throughout his recovery, which made a world of difference. After a major surgery and a hospital stay, Teddy is finally heading home! We are absolutely thrilled to see this amazing family walking out of our facility together and are so happy we could be there for them in their time of need.

If your pet ever needs emergent or critical care, rest assured, we are here for you! Our facility is located at 212 Rodeo Dr. Ste 510 in Moscow, ID (just past Moscow Building Supply).

Meet the team of Moscow Viking Veterinary Hospital!

Today, we’re going to introduce you to Trinity McCain, one of our talented Veterinary Assistants! Originally from Sumner, Washington, Trinity brings her dedication and a strong passion for animal care to our team.

What Trinity loves most about her role, besides helping animals, is the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and mentorship in her field. As a veterinary student at WSU she finds great fulfillment in seeing what she’s learned in the classroom become applicable in real life scenarios.

When she’s not at the hospital, Trinity is a live-in animal caregiver at Blackbird Ranch Farm Sanctuary and spends most of her free time tending to the animals there. Trinity herself has an Aussie mix named Marvin, a Calico cat named Mrs.Potts and a corn snake named Cornelieus. All of which illustrates Trinity’s amazing dedication to the animals and their care.

Trinity’s hard work and dedication to both animals and her education make her an incredible asset to our team. We’re so grateful to have her with us at Viking Veterinary Hospital!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of treating an adorable patient from the Whitman County Humane Society! This sweet pup was brought in after showing some concerning symptoms, and X-rays revealed a foreign body in his GI tract that needed to be removed. Dr. Bennett quickly got this pup into surgery and now this little fighter is recovering with plenty of love, snuggles, and attention at our hospital. A big thank you to the WCHS team for trusting us to be part of this pup’s journey to feeling better.

If your pet ever needs emergent or critical care, rest assured, we are here for you! Our facility is located at 212 Rodeo Dr. Ste 510 in Moscow, ID (just past Moscow Building Supply).

Meet the team of Moscow Viking Veterinary Hospital!

Today, we'd like to introduce you to Dr. Brooke Bennett, one of our talented Veterinarians! Originally from Oklahoma, Dr. Bennett brings a wealth of knowledge and talent to our practice. One thing she loves about being in emergency veterinary medicine is being able to serve community members in their times of need when their general practice veterinarian is closed. She loves being able to support general practices in the area and that our community has access to the care they need, when they need it.

When Dr. Bennett isn't at the hospital, you'll likely find her reading, crocheting, playing video games, speed puzzling, binge watching Grey’s Anatomy, or hanging out with her friend’s horses.

Her family is complete with Beck (a 4 year old chihuahua border collie mix), Creek (an 11 year old black cat), Ripple (a 10 year old ragdoll mix), and Rio (a 17 year old creamsicle corn snake). We are truly grateful to have Dr. Bennett on our team, as someone who prioritizes high-level patient care, she’s an amazing addition to our team!

Fun fact: The second photo of Dr. Bennett shows her holding a litter of puppies from Kvell Beages which she delivered by c-section!

Meet Bojangles! This sweet girl had an unexpected mishap when she accidentally fell into a Scentsy bowl, leaving wax melted on her beautiful fur. Her loving family brought her to our clinic from Lewiston for emergent care. Our team provided a sedated cleanup to remove the wax and ensure she didn’t have any burns.

Thankfully, Bojangles did not suffer any major injuries from the wax, but she did leave with a stylish new haircut where the wax had to be trimmed out—at her owner’s request. We’re so glad we could help make her comfortable again, and, of course, we loved getting to snuggle her!

If your pets ever need emergency care, we are open 24/7, 365 days a year. You can find us at 212 Rodeo Dr. STE 510 in Moscow, ID, just past Moscow Building Supply. Visit www.vvhidaho.com to learn more about our hours and services.
