We’ve recently seen confirmed cases of Feline Panleukopenia (Distemper) in cats from our community.
This highly contagious and often fatal virus spreads quickly among unvaccinated and stray cats, and can live in the environment for over a year.

💉 Please, make sure your cats are up to date on vaccines (FVRCP)
🚫 Avoid direct contact with strays
📞 If you see a sick cat, do not bring it inside.
The only way to know is for a vet to test it, and there is no cure.

We’re temporarily pausing all cat intakes from the City of Othello to protect the cats in our care and prevent further spread.

Your help makes a difference. Together, we can stop this outbreak. 🐾

Miss Penny got to enjoy a fun day out in Yakima and assisted in helping drop off new cats at PetSmart.
As you can see, it tuckered her out.
