Escatawpa Animal Clinic

Escatawpa Animal Clinic Full service veterinary clinic established by Dr. Michael McCoy in July 1977.

Escatawpa Animal Clinic was established by Dr. Michael McCoy in July 1977 as a mixed animal practice with emphasis on large animal medicine and surgery. The business first occupied a small rental space in the center of Escatawpa which served as a place to practice preventative medicine and treat small animals and a headquarters to dispatch a mobile veterinary unit to the farm for large animal prev

entative medicine and treatment. In 2003, due to further changes in veterinary medicine and more emphasis on small animal medicine, Dr. McCoy demolished the old clinic and built a new 3,500 square foot, modern small animal clinic on the same lot. This allowed Escatawpa Animal Clinic to offer many more quality services for small animal medicine and surgery and to expand those services.

UPDATE: Brindle Male and All Black Female puppies have homes! The other 3 and Mama still need homes!!!

!!!STORY TIME!!!!
Once upon a time, about 6 weeks ago, a young expecting maiden dog, formerly known to us as Baby Girl, was relinquished to us from a broken home.

She had experienced things on Earth that no woman, much less canine, should ever endure. Yet she was strong, resilient, and jovial.

During the following 2 weeks, we showered her with affection, food, and common decency.
She then began to whelp. The heavens blessed us with 5 young babes, while 6 perished. 2 young lasses and 3 young lads.

The young maiden was relieved to be without children. She began to live her best loved life.
It was then decided that she will don a new name, Matilda, for her new life. A life of love, happiness, and no more abuse or pain. A name of might and strength for the girl who had been through so much.

It is now we come to you with a request….
We are looking to rehome Matilda and all of her babes.

Her sweet children will be 6 weeks old on December 20th. They will be dewormed and have their first set of vaccines done. We would like proof of veterinary care of other animals in the household prior to adoption. We hope that you would consider keeping us as their primary veterinarian and if you do they get a FREE year of heartworm prevention as they age.

As for Matilda, she is a 2 yr old pit mix. We will spay her when she is fully healed from birth in about a month. So she will probably be ready for her furever home in late January. She is heartworm positive. She has been around cats and other dogs. She hasn’t shown any aggression towards either. She is fully vaccinated and dewormed. She will come with a FREE year of heartworm prevention. We HIGHLY request keeping us as primary veterinarian just because we love her more than you will ever know. We would like proof of veterinary care of other animals in the household prior to adoption. We also would like for you to come in for a consultation prior to adoption so we can discuss Matilda’s future treatment and needs.

SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!

Please reach out to Escatawpa Animal Clinic at (228)475-8881 if interested in Matilda or her babes.

PLEASE SHARE TO THE GOOD FUR PARENTS!

As Vet Tech Week 2024 comes to a close, we at Escatawpa Animal Clinic want to recognize the girls that take care of your pets behind the scenes, Kelly and Ryann. They may not be the first faces you see, but they do alot for your babies. They make sure that your fur babies are happy and healthy. From puppies to dogs, from kittens to cats, even our large animal friends. From the sweetest and loving to the feral and aggressive. They handle them all. Thank you, ladies!
We tried to celebrate everyone this week. Our receptionists, Lisa, Melissa, and Dani. The first smiling faces you see as you enter the clinic. Thank you guys for dealing with the happy and sad calls we get daily.
Our kennel techs, DeJaun and April(not pictured...sorry guys). Thank you guys for loving those boarding fur babies and keeping our clinic clean.
Last but not least, our doctors, Dr. McCoy and Dr. Bosarge. Thank you guys for going to school and getting that degree cause without you guys there would be no clinic. Thank you guys for using your brains and diagnosing and loving all these animals.
We love all you guys.
You all deserve recognition!

Sincerely,
Escatawpa Animal Clinic MGMT 😉
