I love putting this tree and the ornaments up every year, even though I have to do it when no one is around to see the tears I shed every time. The kids all get excited when they find their pony’s ornament. And inevitably, as happened this evening, they ask “Who is King? Who is Andre? Who is UB?” and others. I always pause before I answer to gather my thoughts. While it makes me sad that they’ll never meet these special horses, there is also happiness to share about them and make sure they’re not forgotten.

On the look out for a small horse/large pony. Super sweet and quiet. WTC. Does not need a lead change or to know how to jump. Must be able to ride out quietly. Stock horse, draft cross ideal temperaments. Please share!

We have a LOT of pecan trees at the farm! The Dux family discovered this today, and I let Ivy try out my newly purchased pecan roller. Works like a charm!

Revery riders: we have some riders performing in the Nutcracker this year!! Ivy and Codi will be performing both times on the 14th, and Ivy on the 20th as well! Let me know if anyone would like to go as a group to watch!

Tulsa’s holiday tradition returns! Tulsa Ballet’s The Nutcracker includes nods to the original story, with a setting in 19th Century Germany, and special elements designed specifically for Tulsa including the beloved Golden Driller!

Congratulations to Wren on her new pony Remi!! We look forward to watching you two get to know each other and step up to the 2’6 next year!

The Clavins, Kinnisons, and I would like to say a great big thank you to & Emma for allowing us to lease Junebug this year!! She taught Wren so much, and while we will be sad to see her go, we are very much looking forward to cheering Emma on next year!! We will forever be members of the Junebug fan club!

I ran out of room for another pic in the last post, but these cookies deserved their own post anyway! Loghan’s Aunt Shelley made these cookies for us and not only are they incredibly decorated (almost too pretty to eat!), they were delicious too!! Thank you so much

More pics from the show! Thank you so much to everyone for all their help this weekend. Sarah & Taylor made gift bags with all kinds of goodies in them for all our riders! Wren’s grandpa took great pics for us during the derby and on Sunday! We’re a little spoiled with our in house professional photog! Barn buddies showed up throughout the week to cheer their barn mates on. Great group of people. 💜

That’s a wrap on the HJEO Fall Finale and our 2024 show season!! We’ve had a great year! Most of our riders concentrated on the big classes they qualified for this year at Fall Finale, and each one of them did well!

Aubry & Cliff competed “in all 3 rings” this weekend! Aubry won the MWEF Practicum portion and ended up 4th over all. They had steady rounds in their Eq rounds, were 8th in a very competitive 3’ Derby!

Lila leased Rocket for the week and racked up Champion in the .85 jumpers, and a win in the OHJA 3’ Medal with a very slick work off. Called back in on top of the 1st round, their work off clinched the win!

Loghan & Noah capped off their year in Short Stirrup with a win in an Eq over fences and a hunter round as well as several other ribbons!

Wren & Junebug finished out their year in the Beginner hunters with 2 big 4th places finishes in the HJEO Hunter Rideoff & the HJEO Mini Medal! They also missed the top 12 of the HJEO Derby which had 38 entries by only 2 points!!

Wren also competed her new pony, Remi, in a few classes this weekend. She was 2nd in Very Low Handy in a huge division, and won a big beginner hunter under saddle class, in addition to a couple of beginner Hunter ribbons!

Mara & Vi were 4th and 5th in a couple of .85 jumper classes and 7th in the Puddle Jumper Classic!

Mara also showed Vinny this weekend and had a lovely HJEO Derby round…only Vinny’s 2nd Derby!

And last but definitely not least!! Miss Merritt got her show career off to a fantastic start with a blue ribbon in a big Leadline class! 😉

There are a few special things around my barn. None more so than the handles on my main doors. created handles connected to shoes from a couple of very special horses for me. It hit me tonight as I pulled this door shut. I’m so glad I saved the shoes from this gentle, sweet, special soul.
