Lovely 3rd 3 test from Amanda and Jessanna yesterday at Elysian Firlds Equestrian Centre. We are so fortunate to have this facility available for Dressage Shows again. Big thanks to Shanon and Alex. Footing in the outdoor arena was excellent.

Huge congratulations to my student Wendy Shelton and her super horse Zinc. This past week at the IAHLA National Championships they won the following Championships:
2nd Level 3 (highest score in all divisions)
1st - 4th Freestyle
English Pleasure Vintage
Show Hack
Dressage Sport Horse Show Hack

Wendy is such a pleasure to work with, she really loves her horse and enjoys every moment working with him. Im very proud of them. Lookout for Wendy with her Lusitano “Leon” in the coming year, they are forging a great partnership.

A rather belated welcome to Lisa Siefert’s new horse Volapie Nadales. “Pie” is a beautiful and talented 7yr old PRE. We are so happy to have him at Brambletye Farm, he is a joy to take care of. Looking forward to great things from this pair😀

Some, not all, of the awards won by Team Brambletye. Landstrider and Amanda with the Bob Pape AA Trophy, Strider was hoping there were cookies in it! Finian and I having a quiet moment after warm up Friday night.

Smashing week end for the Brambletye Farm team at the Oklahoma Dressage Society Spring Show. Saturday Amanda and Landstrider were First Level AA Champions with 70%, Kelly and Feodora won first place in First 2 and 3 with scores of 69% and 68%, Erin and Sister Sarah were Training level AA Champions with 70%, Finian and I were Third level Open Champions with 68% and won the Training through Fourth level Freestyle with a third level Freestyle that earned 74% and prize money!!!
Sunday was just as successful.
Amanda and Landstrider got their first qualifying score for Regionals at First level, Kelly and Feodora were First Level AA Champions with 66% and 66%, Erin and Sister Sarah were Training leve AA Champions again with a 74%, Emily and No Cameras Please were a close second with 70%, Michelle and Zietta were Second level AA Champions and Finian and I were Third level Open and Freestyle Champions again. Amanda, Erin, Emily, Kelly and I are all qualified for Regionals at our respective levels. I'm very proud of all my students, a great show for Brambletye Farm.

Brambletye Farm had a good time April 1st at the Green Country Arabian Horse Association Dressage Show. We are very grateful to GCAHA for opening this show to non Arabians. Amanda Edwards and Strider were first in both their classes scoring 63% at training 1 and 69% at training 2 (no buck in the canter depart this time! Much more settled and looking like the champions that they are). Finian had his first outing at Third level and scored 65% at third 3 in spite of his mother forgetting the halt and rein back therefore incurring 2 penalties for off course, at second level test 3 he scored 67%.He won both classes but we were the only entrants!! Ann Landers and Kathy Pittman rode very well in first, second and third level but I don't have their scores yet, more on that when I do. Great start to the show season.

Brambletye Farm had a great Region 9 Dressage Championships in Katy Texas. Four horses qualified for National Championships and our friends Marty and Tracy also qualified, Amanda and I really wish they were going but they have other obligations. Here are some photos taken on our phones at the awards ceremonies.

Our latest addition, an adorable filly we named "Ella". Early Friday morning (before 4.30) our rescue mare "Christie" gave birth to this beautiful filly in the paddock with three minis present. The minis who are normally little thugs were all acting like very protective uncles and whinnied for two days after I took the mare and filly out of the paddock. The sire is a 6 yr old red roan Appaloosa .
