Virginia Horse Center update! We still have two rides to go with Nicole Henry and Emily Cross cross-country runs but we're having fun so far! Cal and I finished 16th for our first CCI-1 * and I'm pretty proud of my pony, he handled everything like he's been doing it forever and I'm excited for next season.

It was just Cal and I at Waredaca Horse Trials this past weekend for some Virginia Horse Center Foundation prep! Though some things could have been better, I'm feeling ready for our first CCI-1*!

This weekend we were at The Maryland Horse Trials for Area II Champs! Cal and I were entering in the Modified Championship and things were going well for us with our PB dressage score in the morning. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication on my end coming to fence 2 on XC and we parted ways. We're both fine and will fight another day!

We went back on Sunday for the Novice and Beginner Novice divisions. Nicole Henry and Secret Stash finished in 6th place and Emily Cross and Ready for Launch ended in 8th in the Novice Rider Division. I decided to swap horses since I was not 100% from the fall on Friday and took Tigger instead of Jaxson. Tigger was a little confused in the morning while being bathed and braided but he was foot perfect and gave me the ride I needed. We finished 10th! Not bad for a horse who hasn't competed in 2 years and that I personally haven't sat on in a very long time.

Up next, Waredaca Horse Trials and then Virginia Horse Center Foundation in November.

Look who just got here!

This pretty lady is Baylen, a 7 year old Oldenburg mare who stands at 16.1hh and has the cutest snowflakes throughout her coat ⭐️ She has dabbled in the jumpers for a little while and is ready to find her family.

Team HE has two stall or training board spots available! Our small, quiet program offers something for everyone with individualized care. If you are looking for your horse to stay in shape through the fall and winter for hunting, needing a refresher before the spring season or even being started, we are here to help!

Board includes:
2x a day grain and hay
Small group turnout
Blanket changes
Deworming
Medicating/ first aid
Holding for the vet and farrier

Training board includes all of the above plus 5 rides a week!

Our farm has a full competition schedule while going to hunter paces, and schooling shows.

3 year old 14.2hh grey crossbred mare. Piper has been started under saddle and is looking for her person! This gorgeous girl is wtcing in the ring, lunging, introduced to poles and has been off property a couple of times. UTD on everything, she is good for the vet and farrier. Yesterday was Commonwealth Dressage and Combined Training Association: CDCTA. Everyone was fantastic and rode well 🌟 Calavera finished 3rd in his second ever modified with just adding one time fault to his dressage score. Everyone should get a cow pony, he's seriously the best!
Nicole Henry and Secret Stash competed in their first ever Novice and ended 9th finishing on their dressage score!
Assiduous (Jaxson) went for a spin around the Beginner Novice where he was brave around the cross- country just adding a rail and some time to his very exuberant dressage score.

As always, there are things to work on but I'm proud of how everyone handled the day!
