Good day at the dog show w/ the girls yesterday! Beautiful weather as well!

Tempo showed really well, had fun and earned Reserve WB.

Reika had great fun in rally, getting a 97 and 4th place! Her first intermediate leg, 2 more to get her title.

Last update for the weekend!!

Sunday Reika was WB for another major win and showed great handled 😁 In all she had a RWB, BOW, WBx2, two majors and now only needs 4 points to finish her championship!

Tempo showed extremely well and went WB, BOS (for a 5-point major over specials!) and RWBx2. She now has a major and 7 points towards her championship. And it’ll only get better from here!

Tolkien had a ton of fun 🤪 but also got a group 4 in baby puppy, two wins against his brother in 6-9 month puppy (with the big kids now!), RWDx2 and a group 3 in the special best puppy in show competition held Sunday! Tons of practice and good experiences for him.

A great weekend with friends and dogs!! Hopefully we can do it again soon!

Late post for Yesterday, but it was Reika’s turn to shine and she went Best of Winners on Saturday for her second major. And as always, had a ton of fun showing and howling her opinions 😆 She just needs points now to finish her championship.

Tempo earned a 5-point major today! We need a major and 8 points to complete he championship now. She went Best of Opposite S*x and also Best of Breed Owner Handled.

Reika got a casting call for her favorite thing…. Howling!! She has a few different noises on cue and they’re one of her favorite tricks to do.

I sent in Tempos Embark a few weeks ago and I’m happy to say that, as expected, she is clear for all hereditary diseases! In Malamutes, we are most interested in -

Polyneuropathy (PN)
Day Blindness (Cone Degeneration)
Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD)

Since she is clear, she cannot pass any of these to potential pups. She is still too young for hips and elbows. Eyes will be done sometime next year as well.

Tempo got to run Fast Cat last week! It was her first time and she ran four qualifying runs, all under 10 seconds! So she’s now half way to her BCAT title!

It’s not a hard game, but it’s a fun game for the dogs and we have an awesome local lure operator and take advantage when we can 😁

Everest went to a Rally trial a couple weeks ago and he did really well for his first time back since October!! He had tons of fun and that’s really what’s important. We also got a first place in one of the classes. 🙂

We are now up to 4 RAE legs and 22 points towards or RACH since starting to work on it in the fall. Hopefully we can get a few more legs and points this summer and have fun at AMCA Nationals again in the fall!

Onyx got to practice on set last week and meet lots of people and equipment. It’s important that we expose our hopeful future models and sport dogs to things early and whenever possible. Practice makes permanent! And good experiences help make confident dogs that can handle everything we ask them too, and enjoy it as well!!

Tempo earned her first two points towards her conformation championship this weekend in NJ!!

It was a family reunion as well, A couple of her brothers also earned two points, a third went reserve and her mom was BOB on Sunday!
