Happy Dog Care started 16 yrs ago after my late husband and I left our dog Hogan at a traditional kennel (ie; separate runs made out of chan link fence and cement pad) for a week while we went on vacation. His eyes were so bloodshot from not sleeping, he had lost his voice (from barking non-stop, as all the dogs were doing there), and he had lost considerable weight...I could now see his rib cage.

So, we thought that there must be a better way of boarding dogs and spent about 1 year researching (keep in mind this was about 20 yrs ago so "Dog Daycare" was a very new concept. To cut to the chase, we opened up the largest Indoor/Outdoor 100% crateless facility in Howard County. Happy Dog Care is a thriving as a safe, healthly, FUN place to bring your dog while you're away. Which leads us to Happy Dog Farm :) Mount Airy is our second location for your boarding needs. It too is crate-free, but it is much smaller and homey. With more of a home away from home feel, while still offering the same safe, healthly fun place with a few extra perks!
