This video shows heartworm larvae (AKA microfilariae) wiggling around in a blood sample. Heartworms can be very detrimental to your pet's health and all it takes is one bite from an infected mosquito for your pet to become infected with heartworms. It's very important to keep your pet on heartworm prevention year-round as it's hard to predict exactly when mosquitoes will become active again. Although heartworm prevention may seem costly, it is much less expensive than the cost of heartworm treatment and saves your pet from experiencing the complications caused by heartworm disease.

*MISSING CAT*

Female brown tabby with some orange spots. Last seen running behind the buildings on W Market St in Mt. Carroll. She does not have a name, but may respond if you call her Kitten. Unfortunately, we do not have any pictures to help with identifying her, but she was spayed today, so she will have a shaved belly and spay incision.

We are sad to announce the passing of 11-year clinic family member “J.C.” after an almost 3-year fight with kidney failure. She was one of our best greeters and will be deeply missed by our staff and clients.
