Darlin Dolly
Darlin Dolly is dancin for treats!! Live on the Adoption Stage.. it's Dolly! She will sing to you from ā9 to 5ā like the queen of Country music,, not really she's more of a dancer as you can see :). This āHeartbreakerā is Microchipped but the owner gave Dolly away 2 years ago on Craigslist and has no info on who she gave her to, but we know it wasnāt āJoleneā. She arrived at the shelter wearing a collar but No ID and No One has called for her. Dolly says āI will always love youā if you give me a chance. āAll I can doā is show you how good of a girl I can be. As we get to know her āCoats of many colorsā better, we will update her info. Donut Day 1
Donut Day last Sunday! Two of our amazing volunteers, along with adopted MCDS dog Arielle, stopped by to give every shelter dog a special treat while they wait for their furever home! Tiffany
Tiffany, just look at her smile! Our volunteer says "she walks well on the leash, takes treats gently and is a big happy girl" All she needs is a home!! Donāt let Tiffanyās tough looks fool you. Sheās a calm sweet girl that is an absolute sucker for cheek rubs. Tiffany was found on 7/3/2023 with No Collar, No ID, No Microchip and no one came for her. We believe she was found in Harmony Township but can't guarantee that is correct (the info provided to us wasn't very clear). Since she is a stray, we do not know how she is with cats or kids. Blondie
Beautiful Blondie! Just look at Blondieās soulful eyes! This was her intake video and she has gained weight, cleared her skin issues and is waiting for her furever home! This gangly girl is just full of love. Voluteer adventures with Blondie "We became fast friends after a few treats and belly rubs. Sheās a bit of a heartbreaker as she very very reluctantly went back in her kennel after our walk. She just wanted attention, hugs, and more belly rubs. It took a lot of coaxing and treats to console this poor sweetie. While out on our nature walk she loved exploring the trails and rolling in the grass. She was also very curious about my fuzzy hat and loved to gently sniff it and reward my patience with a kiss. She has the typical hound excitement on her walk but did well on the leash. Someone has to be looking for a beautiful sweet hound to add to their family!" Blondie is a very sweet 2 year old Coonhound. She is friendly with people but a little selective with her doggie friends so she will have to meet all housemates before she's adopted. Blondie needs some obedience training to help her show what a good girl she can be! She was found in Westfield Township on 8/2/2023 with No Collar, No ID, No Microchip and no one came for her. She was found very near to the same area that the male Coonhound, Dagwood, was found. Possibly they were running together and got separated. Winston
Oh Mr. Winston, look at that face! He's a very friendly, goofy and happy boy. He loves attention and is quite the cuddlebug! Heās about 1-2 years old, is currently about 45 lbs, knows commands,keeps his kennel clean, likes to go for walks, LOVES toys, and to be made the center of attention! He can be selective of his doggy friends and will need to meet any new housemate prior to adoption being approved. Part of his issue could be the environment and he is stressed or overwhelmed. We do know Winston definitely had lots of wrinkles to love! He was found as a stray North of Mt. Gilead in Gilead Township with No Collar, No ID, No Microchip and no one came for him.. His adoption includes vetting---vaccinations, neuter, microchip, worming, heartworm test (he is negative), and dog license. Dagwood
Sweet Dagwood! Just look at face!! This was his intake video, he has now gained some much needed weight, cleared up his skin issues and he is ready for his furever home! Dagwood is a big, gangly, goofy hound that will take a break from his hound ways for treats and affection. He loves to sniff and explore the trails and take in all the scents. Volunteer Adventures : "Beautiful Brooklyn has been at the shelter for almost a year š. She needs a family who is ready to have fun! She has energy and keeps getting over looked at the shelter. She will need to meet any house mates to make sure they are up to her speed. š„°" Brooklyn doesnāt show well in her kennel but once outside the shelter environment she is an absolute sweetheart! Chris
Volunteer Adventures "A sunny day with my furry friend Chris! How is this big lovable guy still here?! He can have some big puppy energy in his kennel but most of the time heās calmly laying there waiting for me to bring treats or take him for a walk. Heās an absolute sucker for cheek and ear massages. He would probably sit there for hours if I had the time to do so. He can get excited for treats but seems to know the words ānoā and āoffā then will sit patiently. He does tend to think heās a lap dog and will melt into you if you kneel beside him. His toxic trait is walking in the weeds along the trail then standing there happily wagging his tail while I pull burrs from that gorgeous coat of his. Anything for attention. On our walk today, he told me that even though he maintains a happy face at the shelter, he is getting tired of being there and just wants someone to come meet him, take him for a walk, and see just how awesome he is. Porsche
Porsche says "It's wiggle butt Wednesday and I'm want to wiggle right into your home!" Our amazing Volunteer says...: "She lovesssss snuggles, treats, and any form of attention. She leans into you asking for a hug, then melts and rewards you with soft kisses. She takes her treats ever so gently. She walks great on the leash and as you see in the video, constantly looks back to make sure I was with her. She gets super excited when you ask her whoās a good girl because she already knows that answer. Sheās very calm and just wants to interact with her human."
