The Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians’ Natural Resources Department has been working to conserve the threatened wood turtle.

Their top team member is Mooz, a 9-year-old labradoodle who has been helping his owner, Bill Parsons, find wood turtles for the past five years.

And then there was one… let me tell you about Iris. There was a time when she was not my favorite puppy, because she was so sensitive, so I took her lots of places and did lots of things with her, and now she is my favorite. She’s awesome! She likes to run and romp, likes to work for food, and she loves to be loved. She’s 15 weeks old today. 🥰
