Is it possible to have too many adorable animal photos? We’re convinced the answer is NO. 😍

Nothing makes our day brighter than opening our email or text messages and finding a fresh batch of your furry (or scaly 🦎, or feathery 🦜!) family members striking a pose, making a mess, or just living their best lives. Seriously—your pet selfies are the real reason we check our inbox. 😉

🐾 Meet Binx: The Teeny Kitten with a Big Surprise! 🐾

Say hello to Binx, our newest (and tiniest!) heart-stealer. You might notice something special about her paws… that’s right, Binx has extra toes! She’s what we call a “polydactyl” kitten—think of her as having built-in mittens.

So, what’s the deal with polydactyly?
Polydactyl cats are born with more than the usual number of toes on one or more paws. Most cats have 18 toes (five on each front paw, four on each back), but Binx rocks a few extras, making her paws look hilariously oversized for her little body. Fun fact: Ernest Hemingway was famous for his love of polydactyl cats, and you’ll still find “Hemingway cats” with extra toes at his old house in Florida!

Is it rare? Not really! It’s just a harmless genetic twist, and most polydactyl cats live happy, healthy lives—sometimes with a little extra help trimming those bonus claws.

🔥 Day 2 of the Heat Wave! 🔥

We’re all feeling it—and so are our pets. If your dog is eyeing the fridge or your cat is hogging the AC vent, you’re not alone. Let’s keep up the good work and help our furry friends beat the heat!

More ways to keep your pet cool:
🧊 Cooling mats: These self-cooling pads are perfect for crates, beds, or wherever your pet likes to flop.
💦 Pet-safe ice pops: Try freezing low-sodium broth or plain water in ice cube trays for a chilly treat.
🌊 Kiddie pools: A shallow splash in the shade can be a lifesaver for water-loving pups.
🐕‍🦺 Cooling vests or bandanas: Soak them in cool water and let your pet wear them for instant relief.
🍉 Frozen toys or treats: Stuff a Kong with wet food or peanut butter, freeze it, and let your dog stay busy and cool.

All of these can be found at local pet stores like PetSmart Mt. Laurel or even big-box stores like Lowe’s or Target.

Watch for signs of heat stress—excessive panting, drooling, or lethargy. If you’re worried, call us right away. We're here for you through every sweaty minute!

☀️🐾 This heat wave is no joke! 🐾☀️

It’s hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk—and our pets feel it even more than we do. Heatstroke can sneak up quickly, so let’s make sure our furry friends stay safe and comfy.

Here are our top tips for keeping pets cool:
🐶 Walk your pup early or late—midday pavement can burn paws fast!
💧 Keep fresh, cool water out at all times. Toss in some ice cubes for extra chill.
🌬️ Got fans or AC? Use them! No AC? Lay out damp towels or freeze water bottles wrapped in cloth for your pet to snuggle.
🌳 Find shade outside—pop-up tents, umbrellas, or a big tree work wonders.
🎾 For high-energy dogs, try gentle indoor games or a treat-filled puzzle toy.
🚗 Never leave pets in a parked car—not even for “just a second.” Temps rise dangerously fast.

Swipe to see Daisy’s glow-up: from her very first “box office” as a puppy to her official first day on the job with Dr. McGuigan. You’d think with all that experience, she’d be ready to get to work… but as you can see, she’s already mastered the art of slacking off in the boss’s chair. (We have it on good authority she’s requesting extra treats in her contract.)

They really do grow up so fast! Here’s to many more years of belly rubs, puppy eyes, and “working” hard at Rancocas Vet.

🐔🎉 Ever thought about owning chickens? Trust us, it’s way more fun than you’d expect! Not only do you get fresh eggs (breakfast, anyone? 🍳), but you also get daily entertainment from your feathered friends’ hilarious antics—chickens have BIG personalities in tiny, fluffy bodies!

From their adorable “chicken run” waddle to their curious clucking and epic dust baths, there’s never a dull moment in the coop. Plus, watching them chase after treats is like having your own backyard comedy show. 😂🍉

Chickens are surprisingly affectionate and love to follow you around like little feathery shadows. And bonus: they’re natural pest control and great for your garden!

🐰🐹🦦 Thinking of adding a small animal to your family, but not sure which one is the perfect match? Here’s a quick guide to help you choose between a rabbit, ferret, or guinea pig—each with their own personality and care needs!

🐰 Rabbit: Gentle and social, rabbits love attention and need plenty of space to hop and explore. They thrive on fresh hay, leafy greens, and safe toys to chew on. Remember, bunnies need daily exercise outside of their cage and regular grooming to stay happy and healthy!

🦦 Ferret: Playful and curious, ferrets are full of energy and love interactive play. They need a secure area for supervised adventures and lots of tunnels or toys to keep their minds busy. Ferrets also require a special diet, regular cleaning of their living space, and lots of one-on-one time.

🐹 Guinea Pig: Sweet and chatty, guinea pigs are great for families who want a gentle, vocal companion. They love having a buddy (consider adopting a pair!) and require a roomy cage, lots of hay, vitamin C-rich veggies, and daily handling to stay social.
