Ms.Crystal has been instructing students on how to ride horses since the summer of 1996. Her natural passion and love for horses has inspired many and started for her as a young girl in summer riding camps. "I remember being a little girl and holding the reins while looking up into those big brown eyes. My horse would breathe on me with his big nostrils and nibble on my golden hair. But for me, he

would become my dream and my destiny. His name was Dr.Spock and he had a split in his ear that had healed from an old injury. We received two 1st place ribbons together in our end of the week summer horse show. Looking back on it now, I should really say that Dr. Spock received two blue ribbons as he carried me on his back! I drew pictures of him through out the year time and waited anxiously for the next summer to ride him again. I rode him for two summers and would never forget him. He was very special to me. Not, because we won ribbons but because he was my first horse and was so unique. No other horse had a split in their ear like him. He was a survivor, a soldier, a bold, inquisitive, and brave being! After that, I compared every other horse to him just to see if they could size up. I believe that to be true for most riders of all ages. When you find that special first love horse, all others will be a comparison. I have ridden many horses since then. Many of them gone, yet a lot of them still here. All of them have a special place in my heart forever. Riding is what I do, passion is what I believe in. If you have passion in what you do, that love will follow you everywhere you go!"

Ms. Crystal is a western riding instructor and a nurse. She takes the time to instill quality instruction on safety, balanced structure in the saddle, grooming, gait movements, patterns, horses personalities, intellect, and the horses wellbeing all in one lesson at a time. Lessons are given weekly and taught in a progressive learning environment. Come and ride with us at Crystal Creek Stables!

From all of us at CCS, we would like to take the time to THANK a very special lady. Grammy Karen received special gifts from week 9 summer campers yesterday as a way of showing gratitude for all of her love shown to weeks #1-9! Grammy Karen, a mother and grandmother to two of our CCS Tribe members Mrs. Jenn and Miss Bekah, provided snacks and drinks for us to share to each camper all summer long! Grammy Karen received a handmade CCS Horse pillow, souviner water bottle filled with goodies, a handmade Horse jar, and a lovely orchid CCS 2024 camp logo t-shirt. Week 9 wanted Grammy Karen to have the full CCS Summer Campers "experience"! We appreciate you so much for keeping our campers "Happy" all summer long with your refreshments! Today in our Supplemental Saturday class we celebrated with a spa day! It was so much fun! Mama Sapphire got a bath and we groomed and detangled Manes and Tails with Festive and furr-iends! It was a thrill to see how much joy the horses and students both received while bonding through ground work. After all, it is believed that groundwork is a horses favorite time shared with humans! We hope all of our students have a wonderful first week back to school ahead! We enjoyed every minute of soaking up the summer sun with y'all today! 😎 ❤️🐎💞🌄

Week 9 day 5 CCS Summer Campers enjoyed a very special day of ba****ck riding, costume contest, 👑 completion of craft and journals, 🎨 pizza party, 🍕 red light green light,🚦Skylark's Spirit Shop, 🐎and an awards celebration! 🎉 What a "festive" way to wrap up the 2024 summer camp season! Week niners most definitely gave week 1-8 a run for it when it came to singing camp songs along the trails this week! 🌄 We would like to thank our camp counselors for a wonderful Camp week despite mother nature and storm Debby. Neither of which "rained on our parade"! It just gave these campers more creative time to work on their crafty costumes! What a great time we had with y'all in our camp corral! Y'all were A++mazing! As we always liike to say, Happy Trails...week 9, until we meet again! ❤️🌄😊🐎💞

Well, week #9 is officially here and doing MIGHTY fine! What a great group of young wranglers we have to wrap up our summer showcase! We have waited all summer for ya'll to arrive! Can we make week 9 just as fine as week 1-8?! You bet your bottom dollar they can and will! This group will do A++mazing things this week! Just in day 1, we watched our farrrier put a shoe on Sundrop, fed the steeds, started up our crafts and journal. Put out hay, shaved our horse Destiny, observed hoof care, and even celebrated two August birthdays today: Patchouli (8/5) and Destiny (8/20). What a great day in the arena too! We dodged the rain and danced in it a little as well! See ya back in the AM for round two week 9! Yeehaw! 🐎💓🐎

Week 8 day 5 CCS Summer Campers took the stage today and did A++mazing! Lots of fun today with Moon Pie snack time, Cowboy game time with Sapphire Says, Red Light green light, and four corners! All campers performed well in the Show and enjoyed shopping around in Skylark's Spirit Shop at the end of the day! Our pizza party and superlative awards for the campers was something we all looked forward to all week long! Week 8 had some very cool costumes as well! Much love for our week 8 campers.....we sure enjoyed our time with y'all this week! Happy Trails week 8.....until we meet again!!! ❤️

Week 8 CCS Summer Campers are doing great things and it's only day 2! We rode arena to trail, did barn chores, worked on two different crafts, journal time, a bathing lesson with Misty Moo, and got our camp pictures and t-shirts turned in! We even danced around the rain and got some really good grooming time sfterwards with the CCS steeds! Wanna send out a super shout out to our A+!mazing camp counselors today! 💓 Overall, it was a grrrr-eat day ya'll! Can't wait for round 3 tomorrow! Yeehaw! 🐎👕☘️🤠👌🐎🏕💓
