Please consider the CEDAR Center in your yearend giving plans! This horse is in the slaughter pipeline and the volunteers at the CEDAR Center are ready to rescue him and bring him home. After some rest and recovery, he will be placed in a therapy program where he will be loved and doted on for the rest of his life. Look at that face! Doesn't he deserve a more dignified end of life than the cannery? Help us save Chumlee and other horses like him!!

Today is National Farmer’s Day. Let’s all take a moment to remember that without farmers we could not have domesticated horses.

I’d like to especially thank Andy Mlsna and Snapdragon Farm & Stables. Without Andy’s knowledge, care and dedication, CEDAR Center horses would not have access to the highest quality free choice hay year round.

We are so grateful to our farmers!

Thank you to everyone who made the Yoga & Horses event happen. This was a special Community collaboration between Snapdragon Farm & Stables and The Yoga Space - Mount Horeb to raise money for the CEDAR Center. What a beautiful, peaceful way to experience the therapeutic benefits of sharing space with horses.

Although the CEDAR Center's mission is to elevate the importance and value of Equine facilitated therapies, we honor and recognize the inherent value of other animal assisted programs. That is why it was so important to us to collaborate with Custom Canines Service Dog Academy to have their therapy dogs and handlers at the Mental Health and Wellness Fall Festival.

VOLUNTEERS! We could not do what we do at the CEDAR Center without Volunteers! We need folks with all kinds of skill sets and expertise to make this non-profit run. We are excited to be presenting about what we do at the Mental Health and Wellness Fall Festival tomorrow September 21, 2024 run by the CEDAR Center ! We will have a demonstration at 11:15am till 12:00pm with a Q/A from 12:00pm to 12:15 pm.
