Ok, I know I've spoken out about the PKA epidemic numerous times, but I've been kind of quiet about it lately...

If you're not familiar, PKAs are Puppy Kiss Attacks, an all all-too-common "injury" in our field. Side effects include uncontrollable giggling, a lingering eau de puppy breath, and indescribable feelings of joy and exhilaration.

I've really been working on the PTSD (Puppy Total Smooch Delusion) I experience from the numerous attacks I've been a victim to. I'm working on exposure therapy to decrease my reaction to the PKAs and hopefully control the amount of giggling I do in front of my professional colleagues. Here, 12-week-old Porter is helping me do just that. Notice the lack of giggling? That's progress, right there, folks. Though notice also the flush of joy on my cheeks? Progress, not perfection, friends. 😏
