Do you have a water dog? We do and she loves to jump in the pool!!
While our little girl loves the water, we don’t love the wet doggie smell and after effects.

She loves the post swim spaw day! The messaging bath with premium products and hand held blow drying (not cage dryers for with us). She loves the pampering!

This 4th of July, we want to ensure you and your pets have a safe and happy holiday! Check out some of our favorite tips this holiday to keep your pets safe!

The 4th of July is the most common day for pets to go missing in the United States. Animal shelters report a significant increase in lost pets around this time. According to the American Humane Association, roughly one in three pets will become lost at some point during their life, and July 5th is the busiest day of the year for many shelters due to the large number of pets that run away because of fireworks and festivities.

To ensure your pet has a safe holiday, check out these tips:

1. Establish a Safe and Secure Environment: Consider bringing your pet’s bed into a closet or bedroom and turn on music or white noise to help diminish the sound of fireworks.

2. Secure Your Home During Parties: If you’re hosting a party, extra guests can make it easier for pets to escape. Consider installing a gate at the door as an added layer of security.

3. Update Identification:Ensure your pet’s identification is up-to-date. This includes making sure your pet is wearing a collar with updated addresses and phone numbers. Most importantly, ensure your pet’s microchip information is current.

4. Keep Pets Indoors During Fireworks: Take your pet outside before the fireworks begin. Do not leave your pet unattended in the backyard while fireworks are going off.

5. Have a Recent Photo: In case your pet goes missing, have a recent photo on hand. This can be crucial in helping ensure they come home safely.

By following these tips, you can help keep your pet safe during the holiday celebrations!

Temperatures are heating up in middle Tennessee this week, and we want to make sure you and your pet are ready! Here are a few tips for keeping your pets safe in high temperatures.

1. Provide Plenty of Water
Give your pets plenty of cool, clean water throughout the day.

2. Exercise During Cooler Temperatures
Don't exercise your pets during the middle of the day when temps are hottest.

3. Bring Pets Inside
Avoid extreme heat and heat related illness like heat stroke and heat exhaustion by bringing pets inside.

4. NEVER Leave Pets in A Parked Car
Never leave a pet in a parked car, even for a short time. On a mild 80 degree day, the temperature in your car can reach 100 degrees in 10 minutes and can be fatal.

Be sure you pay attention to your pets for signs of heat stroke or heat exhaustion, such as excessive panting that progresses into noisy breathing, restlessness or agitation, pacing or dizziness, excessive drooling, red gums or tongue, increased heart rate, and vomiting or diarrhea.
